Just for discussions sake, how would you bring the two character back together if you were writing the story? :)
Some heads would lose their damn minds if Willow Smith got cast as QDJ. :)
I almost hope she doesn't get it. Not because she couldn't handle the role, but because I find it disgusting how adults hate on that child. By all accounts both Smith kids are intelligent, well behaved, and good natured kids, but all I see is a bunch of grown ass people criticizing every little thing they do.
Ever the optimist eh. :)
And unfortunately for some who hoping Mr MajestiK will take a hiatus, they should look to my sig and despair.
Alternatively, they can always make like the Orphaned crying King and let the tears of frustration flow.
I'll be back full time for this. My "hiatus" is over. :)

I don't know, because it will sound like I'm trolling. Lol.
But the real talk, I would have her quit the X men and join the Ultimates. I think Al would do her justice and also write from a conscious point of view. None of that Aaron nonsense.
I truly love how far we range on who we love and hate in the BP books. Hell, we are not even on a consensus on the main character here:)
Because the supporting cast changes so much... it is similar to the "tech" argument. **** changes so much between writers that whatever "hooked" you becomes your favorite and everyting else sucks haha
Speaking of that, I was recently looking back at the posts from 1-2 years back. It's a very good thing the movie announcement came out when it did. We were all pretty close to going at each other.
.
one or two years? You could look back one or two days and get the same thing. it is certain topics (or people....) that cause a divide and then a fight, usually ends when another subject pops up and then it comes back for round 2 (usually from a late commer who spams and won't let go) and goes again until people get bored.
How could I have possibly "misread" Feige and co when they made it very clear (once they caught "the need to diversify their Movieverse" bug) that a fully realised Wakanda would be part and parcel of the Black Panther movie?
Your revisionist history of your comments is hilarious. You were on full hate and negative mode about the black panther movie and then about his appearance in Civil war, all which turned out to be completely wrong.
Marvel's need to have a credible Black Panther was as a direct response to DC/Warners announcement of a much more divers lineup of movies (featuring Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Aquaman) scheduled to be released over a period of time.
Yeah, the company that plans thigns out a decade in advance suddenly decided to scramble at the last second because another compnay who thnks 1 movie in advance released a movie line up at a board meeting. Makes perfect sense. you really think they went, "oh ****, throw T'challa in CW... anyone got Boseman's number handy" at the last second because DC movie release schedule?
Whether or not I agree with anyone here on who, what, where, or why if who the Black Panther is, can we all agree the kids who get to play with BP toys and dress up in a costume and pop the popcorn to watch T'Challa on DVD are the real winners. They are the future of BP in whatever medium. And some of their fantasies of who, ehat, where, when, and why of who BP is will be shared with the world and debated on forums of a different nature. Ain't it great?
Finally got it through my 3 year olds brain that Black Panther is my favorite hero. Sorry... "black painter!"
Priest's Captain America and the Falcon complete collection comes out tomorrow. I realize it's not BP related, but I figured we've got a good number of Priest fans.
I actually only like Priest's Black Panther. I don't like anyof his other comics
Dont mention it my Brotha.
I remain hopeful as well. :)
Well, it's been proven time and time again, that the general moviegoing public tend to be a lot more openminded to things than a lot of harcore comicbook fans, so it come as no suprise to me that these folks would be more accepting of T'Challa and Ororo doing their regal superheroic thing on the big screen.
The licencing issues that govern what goes on in the movies have ZERO impact on what goes on in the books.
T'Challa and Ororo live in the same ANAD MU so nothing stops them getting back together.
I'd be interested in seeing how Coates would write Ororo.
Maybe we'll get to see that one day. :)
Nothing in this world would make me happier than seeing T'Challa and Ororoe back together in the comics. Do I think it's realistic given the synergy between the BP comic and the MCU depiction that will more than likely take precedent? Probably not, which is why I submitted my Monica Rambeua theory as a potential "filler" for at role..
However
I'd like to theorize on how Coates would bring the two back together. Obviously there would have to be forgiveness granted from both respective parties. I would also like it if were something that kind of simmered in the background for the first couple issues, maybe even throughout the duration of "season 1" before becoming a fully fledged coupling in season 2. I'd like to see that they both genuinely have missed each other, I would like for T'Challa to have really grown and matured past the emasculation he was subject to during Hickman's run and for Ororoe to truly respect how he has truly and rightfully regained the respect and authority of the Wakandan populace after the events of "Nation Beneath Our Feet". I would also like for T'Challa to admit that annulling the marriage so suddenly and swiftly was a mistake, I could see a scene similar to Priest's run, where T'Challa admits how weary he was from certain events, perhaps even revealing to her the "time reset" and her truly listening and understanding as ONLY she could.
I believe it is important to stress that these two are supposed to be soul mates, they've known each other since they were children and were each other's first loves. That type of love doesn't die, it can be buried, it can be hidden, but it can NEVER be fully extinguished. I want to see healing, friendship, and romantic rekindling BEFORE I see reconciliation. I would love to see a scene from Ororoe's perspective on just how much her time with T'Challa meant to her. Remembering fondly times like these

From T'Challa's perspective I'd like to see him reminiscing on the times Storm had his back. How she supported him early in the union, how she allowed herself to take a backseat (so to speak) from being a leading member of the X-Men to the wife of a King. A woman who would give up her established life to take on the mantle of Wakandan Queen is NO gesture to take for granted. I would like for T'Challa to rediscover the value of his feelings and to embrace that loving a woman only makes him in turn a better, more determined King.
In short, T'Challa and Ororoe's reconciliation should be based upon respect, forgiveness, and the love that can only be described as Agape. In this manner should they ever again be torn apart, it would only be in the definition that Scott and Jean or Peter or Mary Jane are torn apart, for specific soap opera story reasons with the understanding that these two are, through the ups and downs, conquered nations and destroyed universes, MEANT to be
T'Challa's thoughts regarding Ororoe could be summed up simply

people hate rich spoiled weird teenagers
Yup, they're both still capable of playing teenagers and they both can bring the energy that necessary for the role.
As for Shuri, I want to see someone other than Lupita Nyong'o or Danai Gurira. There are a lot a talented black actresses out there, there's no need to limit casting choices to the hottest names at the moment.
Even with that said if they were going to bring in Monica Lynne, the idea choice would be Nicole Beharie:

She's got the acting chops, she gorgeous, and she's work with Boseman before in "42". Boseman and Beharie have great on screen chemistry.
If not Monica Lynne (a character I'm "meh" about), she could always be cast as Nakia, the crazy Dora Milaje/ex Dora Milaje. She can play crazy characters well...she can really make some scary faces when she's playing a villainous role. She can change facial expressions at the drop of a hat.
I think it would be great if she had a role in the Black Panther movie, though.

Their children.
They have 2 from alt universes. How about a stroy where either one or both are in trouble and maybe even lost in the end. But during the fight to save that child or both T'challa and Storm regain their bond/love. Since they are just alt kids I think it's ok to lose one or two and then have the real T'challa and Storm maybe have a child down the road.

Thats interesting. Could it be that they are running around in this post SW universe? Or is it they are from a future timeline?

Nah, I do mean 1-2 years ago. Different times compared to now. Currently, we not only had the movie announcement but the trailers, the pics, the gifs, a director for the BP movie, the BP costume in full display, Civil War in less than two months, interviews with Chadwick Boseman, and even an upcoming solo book by Coates and Stelfreeze. Sure, there will be debates, but overall there's a lot to look forward to and hope for.
Compare that to a year or two ago, in which we had not just the effects of the previous events prior to New Avengers still lingering, but New Avengers / Time Runs Out itself, which was a source of a lot of controversy and eventual (imho) division as time went on.
In fact, if I recall correctly, the movie announcement came not long after Wakanda was destroyed in New Avengers.
The timing of the movie announcement was impeccable.

The issue with her playing a Dora Milaje is that they're typically teenagers. They also don't talk all that much and they only really talk to each other and The Black Panther.

They can age the Doras a bit. Young women instead of teenagers.
If Teyonah Parris is not available for Monica Lynne, then Nicole Beharie is fine by me.
Which means we may have a BP version of this:

Here's a video of Nicole Beharie playing crazy, from the movie: "Woman Thou Art Loosed: On The Seventh Day"

If not a Dora Milaje, maybe she could play the Deadly Nightshade.
