Just let him write X-Men already, and let someone who wants to write about Black Panther, Wakanda, and Black Panther mythos write this book.
For fucks sake, it will be a glorious day when this wannabe X-Men writer finally leaves. And here’s to hoping his successor pulls a Killmonger and burns everything he’s poisoned the mythos with.

I personally dont mind the approach coates is taking. as of now the only thing that is even remotely tied to the xmen in this particular arc thus far is the mkraan crystal and ororo. it doesn't feel like an xmen book or an xmen story. at least not yet.

Killmonger was about to kill T'challa until Zuri cheated. Killmonger won.

oh I recall what you are talking about.. I think others are claiming though tchalla could have beat him prior to this when he told killmonger to stand down when he got the upper hand on him. I believe.

Never have I seen a writer so hungry to prove his X-men savvy chops, desecrate the BP mythos to this extent.
Bereft of any original ideas or concepts or scenarios, Coates stays shoving X-related references and mainstays into a mythos that the X-office chose to hate with a passion during Reginald Hudlin's tenure writing the Black Panther.
Marvel stay hella weak allowing this sorry excuse for a writer the amount of latitude they've given him thus far, to run rough shod over an entire mythos.

Nobody is saying he didn't win.
We are saying:
- T'challa's head wasn't 100% in the fight
- T'challa wasn't blood lusted. He wanted Killmonger to quit. "It's not too late to walk away and we can settle this another way." "Yield"
Everyone knows... T'challa done fucked up. He didn't realize what he was up against and caught those hands for it.
He didn't make that mistake the second time

I actually would argue he wasnt bloodlusted both fights. he felt compassion for him and what his father did to killmonger as a child.
-
Yeah, I don't get the argument that he was bloodlusted the second time either.
-
How is fighting with the intent to kill not blood lusted?
T'challa didn't slow down once until after the spear was in Killmonger's gut.
He re-appeared, said "yo challenge ain't over I aint dead and I ain't yieldin'" and didn't stop until Killmonger's was bleeding out.
Unless I am misremebering a line when they were fighting and T'challa asked Killmonger to chill?

tchalla did kill killmonger but it still seemed it was reluctantly done; I think he was still trying to talk sense to killmonger even during their last fight (I could be wrong here but it felt like he was still not intent on killing him).

There wasn't an ounce of hesitation there.

that looks like the whole scene, thnk you got posting. I guess he was bloodlusted but how he responded after and even during the fight when he was arguing with killmonger I didnt get the sense he really wanted to kill him. it was more like he didnt have any other choice.
-
I think there was a just a little ounce of "Bloodlust" once Killmonger threatened to body everybody loyal to T'challa and bury them right next to Zuri... Case Closed thanks for playing!
-
T'challa is throwing punches, knees and cat scratches at dude all the way down during their fall while both were protected by their own vibranium suits... The only real pause was when they argued while the A-train split them apart and sped on it's way to downtown Wakanda!
Those strikes looked like an intent to do serious harm otherwise he would have used the same submission hold he used on M'baku to end the fight!
Eyewitness Passenger: "I was on my way downtown on the A-train to that great big vibranium swap meet when I saw my king fighting that new dude!"
Interviewer: "In your opinion did T'challa seem at all overcome by bloodlust to you?"
Eyewitness Passenger: "I don't know nothing bout' no bloodlust but he looked pretty mad as we soared by!"
Interviewer: "Thanks, back to you MindofShadow."

I just got back from my Wakandan vacation and instead of getting exclusive tours of Warrior Falls and Necropolis I spent most of my time standing in line for toilet tissue and gubment (government) cheese...
