I still say he would have been perfect for Secret Avengers during the Brubaker/Ellis run
And Thor has had Asgard completely wrecked
Genosha has been destroyed. Utopia destroyed.
Captain Britain just lost all the other Captain Britain
Shit happens to "Kings" and fictional places in stories. I am not that worried about it. People put stuff back when they want to use it.
Just like Vibranium. First there was none. Then come to find out that Wakanda was thriving without it. then Hickman wanted to use it... and it appeared.
Stuff like this isn't hard to fix.
Yep, pretty much. Its a dark road, we are on but none of this is permanent. Things are destroyed to be rebuilt again.
Its too early to say that but I can't say I'm a fan of what he's doing with BP right now even though I'm enjoying the story.
So now that they've destroyed Wakanda wtf do they want to be doing with the character now?
have him move to hell's kitchen again? smh
Wha??? Is this about today's issue of NA??
I havent read it yet..but that's definitely a retread..

Wow! Storm looks very, very awesome.
BP's costume is awesome too.
Anyway, you might be interested to particpate here: http://community.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?21639-Which-would-you-like-more-a-Cyborg-movie-or-a-Static-movie
By the way, Is BP too resourceful and too intelligent to be part of a team?
Remind me again how great the "King Of The Dead" power-up is?

So far, he has new gear that's enough to beat Namor's ass and provide a forcefield to block even Proxima's attacks.
But yeah, it's not the super duper upgrade some of us thought it might be, and yeah, BP's in dire straits. Like everyone else in the story.

None of which changes the fact that Hickman has carried on the tradition of chumping T'Challa out and portrayin him to be anything but the tactical genius he's supposed to be.
I would have thought that with the departure of Maberry, nerfing of this magnitude would be a thing of the past.
I was wrong.

No. BP was only in todays issuefor like one page and it was just a retread of what we already saw/heard.

Im sorry to hear that. I think with all of the heroes Thor and Tchalla at least are being "humbled" to further the characters development everyone loves a good comeback and in their cases I believe they will come bsck stronger from the loses they havr endured.
guys i saw this on the avengers/new avengers thread. yes that is thanks holding panther and falcon with namor lying on the ground and sue behind thanks. what does this mean for panther?

Autocorrect screwed u Thanos =/= Thanks although I suppose autocorrect with include Thanos when Avengers 3 comes. I would not read much into covers though.

It's a cover, so nothing. I mean it's not like Namor and T'Challa fought in NA #7. What really throws me off, and I'm about to post about it in the Avengers/New Avengers thread, is that Namor releases the Cabal and then we jump ahead 8 months and Wakanda is just now destroyed. So what was everyone doing with the Cabal in that 8 month timeframe? And why did they not attack Wakanda earlier? Or did they attack Wakanda and it took them 8 months to come out on top? I don't know, it seems like the time jump created more questions than answers. And I'm sure we'll get some of it in Hickman's books and in other titles, but he was the only one handling Black Panther, Wakanda, and the Cabal, so unless he has Spencer and Soule pick things up in Avengers World and Inhuman (via Black Bolt), he's going to have some heavy lifting to do in the next couple of months.
Just finished watching marvel disk wars ep 29(Black Panther first appearance in it).
Don't waste your time watching it.
They chumped him out.
Oh and I loved how 90% of wakandans were barefoot/sarcasm.
Only thing they got slightly correct was wakanda itself.

Well, we ARE talking about a show where they turned the Avengers into Pokemon.
Canonic accuracy was not high on the list for the dudes that made this.
Unless there is a run of comics somewhere where middle schoolers get to use Captain America like a grenade weapon.

We're as far away from 2020 as we are from the first Iron Man film, there's a scary thought if there ever was one :D

Not really since Iron Man got a film, Wonder Woman in 2005-2006 had a script done with a director attached and you might remember there was no Wonder Woman film released during that time. Let's not pop the champagne yet

of course Quality is important. I am celebrating DC/Warner's boldness however. Notice how Stephen Strange got named dropped and BAM! insta-movie in development. Poor Black Widow she's been in Iron-Man 2. Avengers. and Captain America: WS and still no movie announcement.
Blade...Nothing.
Black Panther..Nothing.
I am sure Avengers 2 will have a few surprise minority characters. But they will probably be like the minority characters in X-men : Days of Future Past.
do people know that the blade trilogy is the highest grossing rated r marvel film.
they rebooted the punisher films twice and none of them didn't even do better than the first blade movie
so why haven't they made a black panther film that is even considered to be more popular than blade? wtf?

Strange is one of Frige's fav characters so he got name dropped because a movie was already in the works where most Wakanda could get was a name on a map in Iron Man 2, mentioning Black Widow and Black Panther to him gets the same reaction as seen on the internet, "Stop trying to get me to focus on these other characters and take in these characters I want you to like....stop rocking the boat"

Some try to forget or give credit for the rebirth of movies based on comics to anyone but Blade, a failed sequel is enough to say "this is why this character is no good" but meanwhile for others a failed sequel is excused
Okay so I just read the last few new avengers comics again n I jus thought to myself, what does t'challa have left and at this moment, what is the point of fighting. He has lost his uncle and his trusted comrades (zuri & w'kabi), vibranium has been inert, he isn't king anymore, he had a bitter divorce with storm due to the AvX event, him and namor a practically enemies at the point that have problems which can never be reconciled, his ancestors have abandoned him, wakanda has been destroyed (which could mean his step mother is probably dead), shield is after him and shuri is also probably with thanos and the cabal taking over wakanda. this whole thing with the black panther feels hopeless to me. why should he care if the earth 616 is going to be destroyed the incursions. if you ask me, i think he has faced more of a deconstruction story arc than daredevil in the born again story line but at least on daredevil side, he had a bit of hope to bring him back up again. I think t'challa is the one that has lost the most in the whole Illuminati. even when, atlantis got destroyed, he still had few atlanteans that could build it back to how it was but not like wakanda. So why should bp even care anymore? just my own opinion btw

Blade is a street-level character, and an American(in the movies, anyway). A foreign king protecting an African nation is a much harder sell.
Blade is a street-level character, and an American(in the movies, anyway). A foreign king protecting an African nation is a much harder sell.
I would have agreed with your opinion fully, but considering his powers, his gadgets (which is similar to iron man in a way), his relationship with other heroes in the marvel universe and his background story, I don't think he will be hard to sell. However, if marvel decides to make it look cheap compared to previous films, then that might be a problem
Blade is a street-level character, and an American(in the movies, anyway). A foreign king protecting an African nation is a much harder sell.
Why. Marvel can do what they want at this point

Because T'challa is a hero. That is what he does. He isn't just a king.
Plus... revenge... revenge feels good mane.
Why. Marvel can do what they want at this point
Once Ant-Man makes a cool 500 million, all excuses will be gone at this point.
Marvel just has to put something out with "MARVEL" on it and it will make 500 mil

yeah but being the hero got him in that situation
I just can't wait for him to kill one member from the cabal and his face off with namor
also, i am starting to think sue richards is part of the reason why wakanda is destroyed
which might cause some friction with him and reed

Why u say that
Why u say that
because when bp tried to disarm the bombs in wakanda in the new avengers comic, one of thanos's servants says the world leaders gave your city to us
and who will those leaders be? probably shield being controlled by Sue Richards since shield has been vastly globalized in 8 months.

He's the hero. He has to keep fighting. If he gives up, all is lost. He and Hyperion kind of mirror each other in their stories. Both have lost everything. Both keep fighting.

Guardians of the Galaxy proves that to me. At this point, the only thing stopping Marvel from making a Black Panther film is Marvel and their plans. Same with Black Widow and Captain Marvel.
