Amen! And for Bast's sake, just because two characters have the same name doesn't mean one should never be used again. By that logic, John Constantine should never be used because he has the same first name as John Stewart.
I've joked before how how DC has three black guys named John (four if you count Martian Manhunter who these days tends to be coded as black).
Nakia ain't being used. She went into comic Limbo along with a bunch of other characters. If Aneka can wmbe revamped, deaged and turned into a lesbian, then in pretty sure Nakia can be revamped, aged and turned into a badass MCU counter part. And Yes there are Characters from the comics who would benefit greatly from Their mcu versions, especially since those MCU versions have Alot more development and people Care more about them
She's certainly not being used MUCH. Her appearance in the Annual was it. But that doesn't mean the character needs to be completely changed. Again, if you need to completely change a character, then you're probably better off just using a different character.
We'll have to agree to disagree that the comic versions need to follow the movie versions. In the same way the movies were allowed to deviate from the source material, the source material isn't beholden to the movies. It's okay for them to be different.
MCU Nakia = Comic Malaika. Bring Malaika back.
I'd be fine with that. How about just call her Malaika, though?

She literally appeared within the last month. Did you not read the Black Panther Annual?

Appearing on the annual still isn't being used she is going to go back into Limbo. That's like saying Ross isn't going to go back into Limbo simply because he was in the annual too. Let's be real here

To be honest, with the exception of the recent Black Panther Annual and the excellent writing from Evan Narcisse, post the excellent BP blockbuster movie, I really don't give a flying frak about Coatesverse BP.
I leave that chore to the folks wowed by dysfunctional Black stereotypes and rape camps.

My question is when do these Bad(watchyourmouth) meet in the MCU?

Everett K. Ross appeared twice in the past two years. I wouldn't consider that Limbo either.

Wow 2 times in two whole years, excuse me then clearly he is being used.. if you can count with two fingers the number of times a character has shown up, and likely after those two appearances we are sporting 10 years of no shows. They might be in limbo territory

The point is that they do appear and you're advocating that they never appear again (not Ross, but certainly the Nakia Christopher Priest introduced) and I still haven't figured out for what. Does the mere use of the name make for a good story? Is Ryan Coogler writing a Black Panther comic that I missed? What actual benefit does making "Nakia" the movie character actually bring compared to making a different character similar to Nakia?

Using a character that already exists is better then trying to come up with brand new characters that will be forgotten once the writer leaves, I Coates creations gays creations, the pet Characters in long live the king.. where they engaging? Exciting?? Nakia should come back because there is exposure and a chance to redeem the character. It's Just Like BPs gear. Things get added and dropped so often that he doesn't have a standard geat set. So the solution is to take things he had existing and bring it back not add more stuff or the same thing under a different name

Considering Wakanda was marked on Fury's map in the post credit scene of IM 2. We can assume he knows something is going on there.

Yeah, but it goes back to the idea that if you need to completely change the character then you might as well use a different character.
If you're basically approaching a story with the idea that you can completely ignore previous characterization and change a character however you want to fit your story, then characterization becomes meaningless. It won't matter if you're using Nakia or not because it's no longer Nakia.

I noticed that as well, but I think the author might be reading too much into it in terms of their being an Infinity War connection. I just feel like there's a lot going on in that movie to build on a pseudo Easter egg. From what I'm getting from the trailers, I suspect Black Panther and Wakanda won't be introduced until near the third act of Infinity War.
