Being an essential part of defeating adversary and being the one to defeat him aren't the same thing. That's why people are complaining about this in the first place... because they wanted T'Challa to beat adversary.
But conversely T'Challa wanted Storm to beat her to that she would get the lions share of the credit, which better achieves his secondary objective.
Again, from T"CHalla's perspective he doesn't give a damn if he beats adversary or not as long as he's beaten. But he does give a dam about Wakandans accepting Storm, and her being their savior does that to a greater degree than her being a distraction. Plus, there's Storms end of things if they perceive her as a god she likely will feel more obligated to involve herself in Wakanda.
We wanted Wakanda to beat Adversary. Not just T'Challa. C'mo , Xpac. Keep up.
you are right the didnt completely defeat him only sealed him.in another portal. even when they sacrificed their lives they were unable to permanently deal with him.
in order for the xmen fo originally seal him in a mystic portal created by forge it required the xmen lives. it still wasnt able to conceal him. now with ororo since she is a goddess things may be different but i doubt it. tchalla had the might of a goddess on his his side the xmen didnt so wakanda may win.where the xmen couldn't.
Callous as it may sound,. Wakandan redshirts may have been willing sacrifices. I mean, to save their country and family and all.....
So she has been a Mary Sue all along? Figured. No wonder people worship her. She's a mutant! She's a goddess! She slices, she dices, she does it all. No more universal threats. Hell more waste or clean up. Just call Storm. Thanos giving you problems? Storm. Goon slam Gary? Storm. Klaw? Storm. Earwig infestation? Storm. T'Challa, don't worry 'bout Doom. Storm! Mephisto? Storm! Skrull invasion? Storm! ( Ok, she was there). Good lord! We shouldn't be reading BP. We should be reading Storm. All the answers wrapped up in a soured franchise relationship that if I was a Wakandan would be the reason I was dumping on him. Forget the woman. Just be sure she is the universal solvent and can keep you tinkering in the lab instead of solving problems hands on instead of just minds on, why not? Oh Stormy, could you please fly on over, zap any interesting Wakanda mythos opportunity for development so we have nothing to fall back on when the next writer takes the reigns. Thanks, sweetie. You're a goddess. M
yea she actually was. when she was first created she was done so to be the most beautiful most powerful superheroine. in fact, when jean grey was first made Phoenix Claremont did so in order to put her on storms level. I know there is a lot of resentment here for coates and ororo bu some but Coates actually demonstrated he was very familiar with storm and the xmen continuity by his approach with adversary. I'm not saying BP fans shouldnt be upset but I think it's the wrong approach to say tchalla should have beat him because it shows a lack of understanding of adversary as a villain and a threat. that's why I said maybe adversary was the wrong villain but as xpac mentioned it seemed coates wanted to give ororo deeper ties to.wakanda which I think is amazing.
honestly ororo could defeat most villains in the mu if written to her fullest potential. seeing she holds back most of the time we rarely see this. and I think you are wrong with your sass lol. I think this next arc is going to push tchalla to do things he never knew he could without much help from his support cast from season 1 but time will tell.

wakanda did defeat adversary. did you forget it was their prayers that allowed storm to use divine power against him in the first place?

well I think tchalla would want to take an approach that resulted in the least amount of casualties.

I believe coates is trying to give meat to his supporting cast, so I dont mind his approach. I havent read how he beat mephisto but I'm still curious. I dont think that would work here with adversary. I thought logos fight against tchalla would work but there was context there people didnt seem to mention for whatever reason. all in all I have yet to see anything from canon to suggest he could fight a threat like adversary on earth.

I think you lack respect for how decently the more common posters respect your feelings. You come on this appreciation board of fantastical science fiction and argue for pages that the titular character of the thread can't be written to defeat a fictional threat in comic books? Batman beat or at least stymied Darkseid from what I understand. And you won't argue that T'Challa, with more resources available, can't defeat Adversary? Thank you for your appreciation. You should be coming up with ways T'Challa could beat Adversary without Storm, not arguing with us against it. Go make an Adversary appreciation thread and see hlwhat leafs it has.

You haven't seen it because, by your own admission, you haven't read most of his stories. Why would you argue from a place of ignorance?

well I'm not saying it couldn't happen. I mean think back to all the grief that occurred when tchalla put silver surfer in a headlock. can a character be written to do amazing things, exceptional things? of course. but would it be believable based upon preexisting canon, that's another question.
if I were in ororos thread and people said she could beat eternity or logos I would say that isnt true and would never happen. or that she could take a bullet to the heart for that matter without dying. an appreciation thread doesnt mean you blindly state things that misalign with canon. based upon what I've seen I don't think what he has done tchalla could beat adversary withiut some form of help. even his biggest feat against logos he required help from the tiger god, and it required him fighting on a plane where metaphors allowed him to win.

I think this is perhaps the craziest thing I've seen but I will humor you. how am I talking ish about tchalla and please quote me what I said?
and as a sn no you dont talk ish about storm in her thread, you just derail this one by doing it here.
Her only real weakness is getting people to buy books titled "Storm".
