Iron Man always be underestimating T'challa

T'challa seems to love analyzing Carol's energy lol
I always do enjoy the "Panther how did you..." type of stuff.
You can't necessarily expect BP to get the same level of push Batman has YET. Batman has been the number 2 hero in the entire industry for decades. T'Challa only has a few months to legitimately claim he's one of the top guys at marvel.
Give it a few years, and I think the landscape will look different. All that stuff you mentioned Batman did, he didn't do in the last few months.
Why can't I expect it? Who says that it can't happen? Marvel didn't wait 60 years to push Wolverine and they do it with Deadpool all the time.
I don't give a rat's ass about who's the number 1 or 2 hero. Just give me a badass Black Panther and let the jaws drop and the unfans cry.

Again, the stuff you're citing Batman did was over the span of years, not months. It takes time to rack up those sort of feats. Cite everything Batman has done in the last 3 months versus the stuff BP has done in the last 3 months, and the difference probably isn't all that huge. But because Batman has had multiple solo books for decades in addition to regularly appearing in Justice League, he's got a collection of feats second to none. T'Challa won't catch up to that in months, or even years. He can start building up a better body of feats as his profile rises certainly... but again it takes time.
Look at the shit ass job they did with Iron Man.
He is the biggest character in the MCU and his comics have been straight GARBAGE
Their response to Carol being Marvel's "wonder woman" was to have her drawn like a teenage boy, turn into an asshole gestapo, and punch a hole in Starks chests with no repercussions
CA: CW came out two years ago. Marvel has been on the clock with T'challa for over 2 years now. They are going to have a stretch where T'challa has shown up in 4 BILLION dollar movies in a row. The iron is not going to get any hotter. Gotta strike now man. Gotta hurt creator feelings if you have to.
You don't have to remind me about Iron Man.
I had to sit through Gillen and Bendis' bs. They dick a whack job on their "flagship" character.
At least Slott has Tony back to doing stuff instead of being in a coma for over a year.

Who did Gotham pray to to make them a god while Batman stood by? Did Bruce Wayne get demoted at Wayne Industries?
I'm not talking about making BP the flagship character of Marvel. I don't care about that at all.
I want BP to be a badass character and not be watered down. You don't need multiple titles to do that. You just need somebody at Marvel with balls to let BP be badass.
DC doesn't compromise Batman. If Batman gets has ass beat you can bet he's coming back to give an ass-kicking.

T'Challa and Tony have been friendly/unfriendly rivals for years. At least they haven't ruined that yet.

Ever read Knightfall? Not quite how that turned out exactly.

Yes I did. And Batman came back to beat Bane with a fully healed back.
Next.

Not in Knightfall he didn't. He healed up, stripped his replacement of his job, then just went back to work until he happened to meet Bane again waaay down the road. He didn't come back to give an ass kicking. He just came back.

He fought Bane and beat him. I didn't say he did it next issue. Azrael took his place as Batrman while Bruce healed. But Bruce did heal and he did beat Bane and it wasn't a pyrrhic victory.
Like I said. DC does not compromise Batman.

It's a crime we haven't gotten any Tony/T'challa MCU action. They are like total opposites personality wise.
Even on the same team in CW and I don't think they even said hi to each other.
Iron Man underestimating Black panther never made much sense. Black Panther slaps the taste out his mouth and owned him many times.

You don't think the fact that he didn't go after Bane after what Bane did was a compromise? They happened to meet one day afterwards, but Bruce wasn't coming back to give an ass kicking.
I know people complan about DOom War, but I can't help but think if T'Challa just decided not to go after Doom at all that would have incited a reaction just as bad if not worse.

Part of T'Challa's character is that people underestimate him. So you need to throw that in there every once in awhile.
Stark is typically used as the person to do that, because underestimating T'Challa can make the character doing it look a bit like a jerk... and Stark can get away with coming off as a jerk sometimes.

Their MU versions share a few common traits.
They both are pragmatic and will go with their own agenda even if it puts them in conflict with friends and the team.
Both are egotistical, Tony more out there with his ego.
I don't know if we'll ever get a an MCU pairing especially after Avengers 3 and 4.
