Nothing from Wakanda at least (unless you wanna count T'Challa delaying Doom at the end of Secret Wars). Doom had his share of ups and downs in the various other stories that he was in. That particular story occured when Doom was being used quite a bit.
See if Doom had only stolen the Vibranium and Tchalla defeated him by destroying all the processed vibranium then it would of been s better victory still stupid.. but not omg WTF is this sh*t how is this even remotely a win??? Victory
I could use a good old Klaw arc or King Solomon's frog's arc right now
I can't even remember the last time Klaw and T'Challa threw down.. was it if the McDuffie FF run? Klaw has to be one of the most passive arch enemies a hero has even had.

It's a win in that they stopped Doom from conquering the world. But yeah... T'Challa paid a pretty hefty price for it. But Wakanda not so much since Hickman pretty much erased Maeberrys Wakandan drama so that they would be at 100% when he hit Wakanda with his own drama.

So could I. In fact if I were a BP editor I would be asking writers to pitch a "Hush" type Panther story for Season 3. Lots of villains, lots support cast, defining Wakanda in a way that's easy to understand for new readers. The two trades would be ready by the time the movie comes out.

I'd like to think marvel would start getting the villains that will be in the movie in circulation. The problem being there's a lot of them. If I'm not mistaken the movie is supposed to have Killmonger, Man Ape, Klaw, and Malice. That's a lot of villains to squeeze in there.
I liked the idea of Shuri as reformed party girl and the contrast of her being the first Panther to wear powered armor.
Righteous Warrior Shuri bores me as much as comic book Sif does.
That is my biggest issue with Shuri's revamp.
She's still a humorless mope like every other Wakandan other than crazy uncle Zuri.

Yep, New Griot Shuri is basically T'Challa. Except with a new (Boring) Powerset and more prose and Zzzzz fest... I would have loved if she came back and was more like the playful younger sister be like "yo T'challa im dead for 8 months and you let Wakanda go? I thought things were in good hands" and have them joke with each other and have her bring him out of hum drum boring ass

The fact that she came back with ill-defined powers (and a rather silly redesign) makes me think of her more like a plot device/mouthpiece than a character.
Actually, if anyone in the book qualifies as a "Mary Sue" it's her, at least as Coates writes her. Amazing powers, outclasses the hero....
Question for you guys:
If that young british girl really was cast as Shuri and she brings that type of youthful energy to the role that I have a feeling she will (to align with her early portrayal)... what will Marvel do when millions around the globe are introduced to and completely fall in love with super-competitive, afro-millennial wise-cracking MCU Shuri and the great sibling chemistry she has with her more serious, mature and pragmatic (;)) older brother?
What's the game plan if this outdated 2006 version of Shuri blows up in popularity and we start seeing her in cartoons to boot? Do we just leave Griot-Shuri and her bad fashion sense alone? What's the game plan? Come on guys, huddle up!

I haven't read Klaws so perhaps admittedly I may be out of the loop.... but I'm almost at the point where I'm starting to think Klaw and T'Challa have both stopped giving a damn about each other. Which is weird given their history.
But maybe' it's for thebest. I always thought they paired off against each other badly.

I direct your attention to my other favorite example of Marvel's mismanagement of their IP, Doctor Stephen Strange. While the movie was out, the character was running around powerless with an axe while a new villain made him look bad. The Blu-Ray just came out, and he's STILL running around mostly powerless while a different new villain makes him look bad.
Or hell, look at T'Challa. CA:CW introduces a competent, confident & suave Black Panther to the masses. So what does Marvel do for his relaunch? They make him incompetent, doubt-ridden and dull.
They're great at matching visuals, and shoving movie characters into new titles... but they always seem to choke on the payoff.

They tried with klaw in... klaws
He realized without vibranium he was unstoppable so.. he went to take over the world.
