The techno jungle is pointless in the MCU unless you want it to be something his ancestors built. Necropolis has always had potential but is problematic as far mainstream sensibilities go and the herb has already replaced it.

Why are marvel in general so hesitant to give him the daggers? Give him the daggers
It's entirely possible both locations did show up in the movie, and they just didn't bother naming either. Like others have said, herb ceremony probably was Necropolis. And Shuri's lab could very well have been the techno organic jungle. Maybe the DVD/Blu Ray will mention that.
Heck, maybe the movie can even explain the techno organic jungle a little bit, because honestly I'm not sure that's something the comic ever went out of it's way to do.
No because Shuris lab is essentially inside the mound so it cannot be the techno Jungle, and that is where they can separate Tchalla and Shuris genius. Shuri goes for a more "Modern" look with using Vibranium sand and the less traditional advancements, whereas the techno Jungle is Tchallas, a more traditional place that perfectly blends technology and nature into one. This could be used I. How it was T'Challas genius to help improve on the shielding of Wakanda, using the techno Jungle as a way to help keep it hidden. And even with them opening themselves to the world, it's still kept to bot provide too much view of Wakanda. It's a very easy way to separate and keep up the difference In Genius. Ot also shows the difference in age and experience
Well, one of Coates's "improvements" was already featured in the movie and used to much fanfare.
My personal opinion is I don't like the Egypt-ification of Wakanda. That includes the use of Bast and the Necropolis. But I know we're way beyond that point.
And what, perchance, improvement of Coates do you think made it into the movie? And if you say the force push, or Kimoyo beads then I'ma stop you right there because those are definitely NOT Coates improvements but Brian Stelfreeze concepts, and no they are not one and the same

You can make the argument that claws sort of make daggers redundent. You don't see Wolverine running around with a knife all too often.

Yeah, but it's a distance weapon too. Every other character in the MU, in T'Challa's general weight class, has a distance weapon to shake up the action scenes. Why not him?

That could be the case but wolverine's approach to fighting fits it. Pure energy daggers are far more interesting visually than claws can ever hope to be especially if great artists are involved. There's so much potential. I don't think I've ever been wowed by panther using his claws ever.

Difference os energy Dagger's mean they have multiple settings, one being a stun setting, meaning non lethal setting, as well as other functions. Claws are hard to make non-lethal
I'm really happy that Acuna is handling the art in the new book. I love his style.

Truthfully you're preaching to the choir. I was a fan of the daggers, and was pretty disappointed when they stopped being used as a part of his standard gear after Priest. I think they were used like once in Hudlins run, and again in X-Men Worlds Apart. Hickman used physical daggers that you could throw, but it wasn't quite the same thing. We at least saw them for a bit in Ewings Ultimates. Like once, but I'll take it.
If everyone would have just used Priests toolset, rather than trying to reinvent the wheel over and over again, the character would probably have much better branding as far as his gear goes. Priest got it right the first time.
We'll see what the movies do. I'm sure he'll get newer stuff as time goes on. He's got the claws and the force push right now, which is pretty good.

Yeah, that was a real score. BP getting what I at least consider an A list artist. And I think it's important to have a good artist if they're going off into space. The visuals are important.

Me too. I'm a HUGE fan of Acuna.
just for fun speculation, what would some of the 1970s-Kirby series characters end up looking like if they were adapted in the movies? heh-heh.... and is there a chance that any of them would be adapted for the animated stuff going on now?
the black musketeers... princess zanda.. etc.

They collaborated on title. Shouldn't they get equal credit?

Hudlin used them twice Ewing used them 3 times.
Daggers Will likely come back on the mcu. They are non lethal weapons to use in the mcu and in the cartoon. But the Claws and Daggers both have no redundant uses. The Daggers would be more for Long range/no lethal take down or EMP capabilities, while claws are for shredding through metal and lethal take down
