Alot of them Didn't drop the ball as bad as T'Challa was shown, Reed is actually the one who came out the most unscathed (yes he lost his family but they popped right back up in SW) and to add insult to injury, he Showed Reed being the one to outsmart Steve and the Shield Avengers.. Reed, over T'Challa who is a tactical genius... was sidelined to a sidekick role so that Reed could take his bread and butter.
T'Challa has always had control over his emotions, he wouldn't cry over refusing to blow up a planet, He would definitely stand up to his dad and not let him scold him like a child because he was standing by his belief. and he wouldnt have screamed at namor like tht. he would of been deathly calm and told him he WILL die for what he did to Wakanda. Priests version, Definitely Hudlin's, JA's Version. All of them would not lose their cool like that, Why? because thta is apart of T'Challa's Character, he ALWAYS is in control of his emotions.
Couldn't be better said which is why I dropped a book and have no interest any of JH future work/projects..

Pretty much this.
Two strong Black females. We definitely can't afford to lose any more of those. And both possibly in the same book with Ramonda and the Doras? Last time we had that many Black females in one book was...Black Panther.
The craziest irony in all of this is that Hickman actually wrote a pretty damn good Queen Shuri.

You can definitely say Shuri acted more along the lines of Priest's Panther. I hope we don't lose any of that when she returns.
Honestly I think she's also potentially easy to overlook just because of how she basically just appeared out of thin air one day. And I say this as someone that likes the character but it's almost more work to incorporate her into T'Challa's past that it is to exclude her simply because she wasn't actually there for so much of it. That said I do believe she's potentially worth the effort.
The movies don't have to follow the comics 100% of the time. They could just have her around T'Challa's childhood (younger sister after all) and keep it at that.
Even if they wanted to include the fact that Ramonda was kidnapped for a bit (which I doubt), just say that she was kidnapped a few years after Shuri was born. That more or less solves that issue. The rest of Shuri's background is in the source material.

I'm not sure Reed having his family claimed by Doom is really doing him any real favors. But it's fair to say Reed up to his family's death had an easier time than most of the Illuminati. And that frankly is usually the case.
And I think he might cry if his dead father was begging him to do what he needed to do to save the lives of his family, his people and 2 entire universes. That is a lot of people dying because he can't put aside his own principals to do what he himself believed needed to be done.
The problem is he didn't necessarily his father was wrong. None of the Illuminati did. That's why they were there in the first place.
Ultimately no one is in control of their emotions always. He's still a man. Under Priest he cried that he was scared to Storm and that situation frankly was nothing compared to this.
Co-signed to the max.
Hickman's T'Challa was one continual frak up after another.
And that was seriously the most annoying thing ever. T'Challa is a man of honor, he was always truthful, and Hickman makes a mockery of everything that makes T'Challa a great character. Plays him off as a Arrogant liar, who cant control his emotions and makes constant empty threats and cries when he stands up to his dad?? Really?? If this were Priests Panther Namor would of been long dead and forgotten about. AND the worst part of all of this is that Baast told him he was to lead Wakanda to salvation and what does he do? He no only lets Wakanda burn, but the remaining survivors that didn't die when Thanos attacked, were killed with the rest of earth because he decided no one from wakanda should survive, yet other more useless heroes for the event like Black widow should survive (even though she died still). Hell Doom saved a part of wakanda so he is actually there savior atm..

In SW they are had Susan say that Reed looks familiar in some way, so its probably gonna go down that she is gonna end up with Reed somehow, Strange told Doom he knew he was scared of Reed and what he will do so its hinting they he will get his family back most likely. His dad wasn't begging him, he was basically scolding him the entire time. In fact, I would say Namor and BP were the ones least likely in that group to cry over what was happening.. T'challa too a ton of deconstructing through this event.. You didn't see T'Challa crying when he stood by his decision in Sturm und drang to basically send earth into WW3 over a small alien child.. why would over something he felt was right.
Also in priests run, the only time T'Challa cried, actually wasn't to storm, but when he found his daughter strung up and dead because of her brother and that was entirely his fault and made sense because he basically forced her to feel inadequate and uncovered that..

Shuri I think acted in the manner Hickman for the most part viewed how a king should act. I think think the underlying point he was trying to get across was the being a king can conflict with being a super hero. But ultimately when it was button pushing time T'Challa was more hero than king.
It would have been interesting to see if Shuri could have gone through it.
We can agree to disagree then because I honestly can buy pretty anyone cracking in that situation.
Namor, Black Bolt, and T'Challa would've made a decisive decision and stick by it firmly, even if they end up crying about it later on. Their training and experiences as heads of state and training gives them the fortitude to do so. Same for Shuri if she was there.
The other members of the Illuminati? I can absolutely see them cracking.

He cried to Storm in Priests run.
And I normally would say T'Challa would be one of the least likely to cry as well. But that changes when you dead father is telling him his actions are going to get their family, their people and their whole universe killed. He's never dealt with anything to that scale before. I'm not sure any of them have.

Honestly I'm not sure any of them EVEN Namor knew fir sure they could murder billions of innocent people until put in that position. It's easier said than done.
For what it's worth I'm glad T'Challa didn't do it even though it was probably the smart thing to do in that situation.

Ironic right? And as time went on, I ended up siding more and more with Shuri than T'Challa in New Avengers.

LOL....she would press that button faster than you can say "Panther God", and she wouldn't even blink.
She would've made her father and ancestors proud.
