Why should I?
They aren't taking up space in a book that I like to read. I want Starbrand and Nightmask dead in the Avengers too.
At least if Emma was in New Avengers book I can justify it as adding a known popular character to the gang (and they need a telepath on the team).
Namor's a necessary instigator (and as far as I'm concerned BP and Namor might as well be the same character in many ways) so I don't need him dead either.
If anything I see Wakanda and Atlantis as millstones around both characters respective necks, so I don't really care which of thier nations bites it in thier war or if it ends in a stalemate or neverends at all.
The only reason Black Swan exists in the story is to make the rest of the Illuminati look like they don't know what they are doing. Which I really have no use for.
The Illuminati have guys on thier rosters who pretty much are on a first name basis with God/Eternity and guys whose brains can power a planet.
What do they need her for, exactly?
Well she is the writer's pet character so take pride in knowing the next writer will kill her off, hopefully off screen.

Why?
their nations make them unique characters

IIRC, Emma used to get down with Tony Stark back in the day, as revealed during Civil War.
Looking at this now, I say no to Tony's leftovers. Emma works with Scott due to the opposites attract things. Emma does not work with Namor because they are too much alike.
I would be open to a strong friendship between BP & Emma. I think Emma would admire BP, and his various challenges. I think BP would be understanding of the mutant cause. A strong, platonic friendship would work. It would also be a source of drama between the various members of the X-Men who seem to be anti-BP. I think they would be interesting in a buddy cop movie sort of way under a capable writer. Emma enjoys being a diva, and it would be nails on a chalk board if she said something positive about BP when the others talk bad about him.
I don't see BP having any romantic relationships in the near future.
Perhaps when a new writer takes over Avengers (and includes BP), or BP gets a solo.

BP's always been understanding of the mutant cause. I mean he at one point was funding Mutantes Sans Frontières, and took in mutants (to the point that BP remarked that Wakanda was overflowing) who were fleeing Genosha. Heck, he even tried to convince other nations to open their doors, for the ones he couldn't take in.

That is great to know, and shame on the x-writers for never highlighting this. That alone could have yielded some dynamic story-telling.
It makes the ex & the x-writers look foolish for never having her use her queen status to better champion her cause. Namor & Doom do it all the time. Magneto did it. It shows how stunted those writers are. They are stuck in soap opera which explains why their cause continuously goes in circles.
Like a lot of folks have said, BP needs to stay far away from x-land, as long as the writers their no intention of progressive story-telling.

Please don't make me laugh.
How many times has the Black Swan character appeared over the last few issues?
Suggesting Emma Frost's inclusion within the Illuminati is as ridiculous as wishing Starbrand and Nightmask dead in the Avengers book just because you don't like those characters.
What exactly would Frost bring to the Illuminati table that isn't already there?
Yabbat Ummon Tarru was an integral wheel in the machine of the tale that Jonathan Hickman is telling and as we can see, her insidious machinations have led the individual members of this august gathering of flawed men to the current impasse the face with the Great Society.
Black Swan is part of the forward moving narrative within the book regardles of how you personally feel about her character, and she does not bring the additional baggage that Frost's character would have carried along with her if Hickman had chosen to include her character in the NA book.
The Illuminati has amongst it's membership some of the most knowledgeable and powerful men who as you have pointed out, are on first name basis with some incredibly powerful abstracts.
However, this has not prevented each and eveyone of them from making disasterous decisions (pre-Hickman's New Avengers/Avengers) that have had devastating impact on their personal lives as well as people connected with said personal lives.
So what point exactly was it that you were trying to get across again?
A for Wakanda and Atlantis being "millstones" around the respective necks of T'Challa and Namor I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree on that for the imple fact that I fail to see what relevance your assertion has in relation to the subject of the Black Swan.
Namor and T'Challa are both in this Illuminati gig due to the fact that they want to protect their respective peoples in much the same way that the other components of the group wish to safeguard the entire 616 Earth.
You might as well say that all of the Illuminati have a "millstone" around their necks. LOL!

I enjoy Black Swan. I don't want her to die at all. In fact I hope she later becomes part of T'challa's rouges gallery but with a little grey area in that she's sometimes helpful. In a catwoman type role.

Yabbat Ummon Tarru is an incredibly dark character who has been revealed to be beyond duplicitious.
Even Thanos himelf sensed that she wasn't an individual to be trifled with.......

so I very much doubt that she'd be helpful to T'Challa in any capacity moving forward, unless Jonathan Hickman chooses to do something special with her character.

I dont know. I feel like if you dont like the character nor show the character respect..dont write him. Id rather T'challa be in limbo than in the hands of someone who is luke warm or hates the character.

I'm in full agreement with you on this ExcelsiorPrime.
Some posters seem to be of the opinion that Jason Aaron may be the next scribe to take on the next Black Panther solo book just based off of his handling of T'Challa in Original Sin but to be frank, I'd much rather prefer it if a writer like Al Ewing take a crack at the job especially as he's proven that he respects accurate characterization and established continuity.
Al Ewing would be a godsend to T'Challa, Shuri and Wakanda.
Aaron lost me with his AvX transgresions. (even though I follow his excellent take on Thor: God of Thunder with muc enthusiasm)

i think Al Ewing would be perfect. here's hoping he has enough room on his plate for another ongoing title.

I'm still not convinced her motives are completely evil. They may still be something she deems necessary. And if that's the case then she's alot like what Panther used to be as far as doing whatever it takes and conviction.

Bro, I ship for Black Swan myself, so I sincerely hope that Hickman does some more interesting stuff with her moving forward too.

Reginald Hudlin knew how the land lay as far as what was going on behind the scenes and just laid it out for discerning readers to figure it out.
Unfortunately, some are still deluding themselves.
Unlike these others, I'm not ready to gush in excitement over Aaron's portrayal of T'Challa in Original Sin because I haven't forgotten.....
