You mean when tchalla was fighting multiple enemies, got hit by an RPG, knocked out zenzi, and then succumbed to the tree roots of doom after a 5 minute STEP dance session?
I mean, if you wanna take that... "feat" ...based on PIS then I guess, do you lol.
Tetu's strength was held back by Coates lack of imagination. Tetu needs to go have a talk with Poison Ivy on plant based attacks 101
Essentially yeah. A character like Tetu needs distance and space. If he's got minions to give him that he can be dangerous.
It's the classic issue of a long ranged fighter vs a shoet ranged one. Whoever controls the distance wins the fight.

The same Tetu later got hit by a ghost spear and didn't get up. The grand conclusion to an epic battle sequence between Tetu and T'challa lol

I'd love to see a scene where Tetu is running her mouth, and T'challa says something like, "You forget. I control a jungle as well." And then you just see techno-organic vines sprout from the grass and trees behind him.
Yeah, but upgrading the villains sort of goes in the opposite direction of having them lose all at once. They don't look better being unable to get the job done collectively ... They end up looking worse. That's sort of the problem.
Villains lose, that's their job(Unless your name is Doom) so who cares that they lose?
It's the fight itself that's important and as long as they give a good showing in a loss it doesn't matter.
Who cares about B, C and D list villains losing face in a fight?

Now that Black Panther's Disney movie blew up and everyone knows him I don't think Disney will sign off on a super violent and gory game, the best we can hope for is Spider-Man or Batman style unfortunately.
Probably why Wolverine hans't gotten another grey game in a while

They certainly have to losr, but the point being if they don't build up any cred no one gives a dam.
You want villains that are actually credible threats to the hero. If they cant' at least in theory beat the hero, then what's the point?

id settle for a "you forget, im really fast, can jump, and throw energy daggers in your stupid face mid dance" lol

Exactly.
Plus, it never hurt Ock.
One B lister leading with X number of lesser types under him.
-
So do it like the did in Spider-Man the Gauntlet.
Have each of them pose a credible threat for a very short 1-2 issue arc but have it all lead to a mastermind orchestrating the attacks.
I would say have it end with the resurrection of Killmonger but that's too close to Gauntlet/Grim Hunt.
Hell, do it anyway. Go over the top with it like SWaD.

It doesn't hurt Oc because he's an already established villain who has proven he can beat Spider-Man in a given day. Get enough BP rogues to that level before you try a sinister 6 and it's not an issue.

Well, yeah obviously, but I just like BP using existing tools at his disposal to one up people that think they are pulling out something slick.
Tetu has plant powers but BP can match that on her terms if he wants.

You build up cred in the story by pushing the hero to the absolute limit in an engaging way. The same way you build up every single villain in cape comics.
Why is T'challa any different?

Which is what we've continuously been saying they should do, but then you say it's a mistake to beef up his villains.

Solomon Prey left T'challa a bloody pulp on the ground. Death Tiger had T'challa dead to rights before being shot in the back by a kid.
So there ya go. You can start there.

What villain has real cred other than Magneto, Loki, Skull, Doom, Osborn and Kingpin? No one gives a fart about any other villains.
As long as they show up, be a threat and put on a great show the fans will be quite satisfied.
Who remembers the name of the Skrulls that were killed in SWaD?
What cred do Tetu and Zenzi have?
Who was Achebe before Priest?
This isn't a date, it's a fight, a fight that the villain will lose.

I never said it's a mistake to buff villains. I think it's a mistake to buff heroes, but not villains.
But right now Killmonger is probably the only rogue who has the cred to make the sinister 6 work.
