It's not confirmed yet whether klaw would even be in the bp movie
in order to create some sort of buzz, you need to announce at least a writer or director that is rumoured to be attached to the project. Hell the Inhumans already has a writer who has written a script for it already and it does't come out till 2019
What's their excuse?
Having a script doesn't mean much in and of itself.
Ask the Runaways fans about that one.
There's a shootable script for the property in a marvel vault somewhere, but they've nothing else.
Black Panther has the hero and main villain already cast and set to appear in upcoming marvel movies.
You're fudging facts. Inhumans does not have a script right now or a current writer. It has a pitch script that was written way back in 2011 because originally Marvel wanted to launch the film sometime after Avengers, but plans changed. There are a lot of properties that aren't going anywhere or being used that have scripts out.
Know who else did?

Right now I think the excuse would be that the movie isn't supposed to come out until 2018.
Honestly I don't see the big deal in not announcing rumored writers and directors 3 years before the movie is supposed to come out. If they do fine... if the don't I think that's fairly normal.
To me casting doesn't necessarily mean the movie will be any good
if it was up to me, I would rather have them pick a director or a writer who actually knows what their doing and has the decline to be able to control the actors in bringing out the best performance form all the actors.
I was excited about the Chadwick Bossman casting but then I thought, who will be in charge of the movie and who is writing the script.
Dr Strange announced the director first before announcing the actor which was months later and see how that is going

I won't hold any positive or negative opinion towards bp, but everything related to him is one disappointment to the other (including the comics as well)until they get the ball rolling with bp, nothing will change my mind as of now
You are. That's from August of last year. The script they're talking about was the same one from back in 2011.

That is because they couldn't get Phoenix to sign on the dotted line and had to go with Plan B

and what happened to the mark bailey script for black panther back in 2011?
the fact that they are going back with the inhuman script from 2011 and not the mark bailey's script for black panther raises some questions to me

Black Panther's status has likely changed a lot since then and it's probably either going to require rewrites or a whole new take. BP was essentially going to be a new character at that point whereas now they have to work off whatever ground work or easter eggs are dropped first in Age of Ultron and Civil War, especially with Klaw now showing up.
Inhumans likely doesn't require that since the characters are (as far as we know) not playing any role in Civil War or Age of Ultron.

I forgot to share this, but a couple weeks back, Priest's Black Panther was the subject of the Marvel Unlimited Reading Club. Not really any new information, just folks talking positively about the first five issues of that run (and praising the whole run, in general).
Relevant Conversation Starts at the 01:11:10 mark and lasts the rest of the episode (about 22 minutes in whole).

I just read the Black Panther 2099 one-shot and it turns out Doomwar was just following the trends. Smh.

Withholding any true critique of the Black panther movie until I am in the movie theatre with popcorn in my lap....coke in my right hand and spear of bashenga in my left.

It will be interesting what happens when it comes out around here.
Mostly, is it possible some of the expectations from some people in this thread will be met?
I really only have a few "must haves" for the movie really.
- Show T'challa as a bad ass rivaling Captain America (who had some SICK feats in WS)
- Show T'challa as just as smart as Star and Banner
- Show T'challa as someone playing the "long game" strategically
- Dont' show Wakanda as a the typical "Hollywood" Africa. Truly show Wakanda as the most Advanced nation in the world.
Those four things get check marked, it is a success in my book. I knwo a lot of people won't be happy unless 10,000 BP side characters are introduced/alluded too and a billion other things but I just keep it simple :D

No word on a BP solo book as of yet and heads stay debating over a movie that probably won't see the light of day until 2020. LOL!
