That's nice and all, but until she creates a raft that survives the destruction of everything then that is a moot point and her importance and influence is low in my book
Let's not throw Lunella under the bus because Coates has done so with T'Challa and the BPmythos.

Tchalla still built the ship as that was confirmed in TRO. That goes to Him

I'm not throwing her under the bus, I just don't believe that she is more important or influencial to the overall MU then Tchalla just because she is new and they want to Hype her up. Give her some feats to back it up and I'll believe it but considering Tchalla created a ship to survive the destruction of everything as well as restoring 616, I would say that's a bit more important in my book
And THIS is the real damage Coates has done to T'Challa's character. We're so hungry for ANYTHING that makes our fave hero look noble, heroic, and/or competent that we're jealous of a young girl. :P
Hell, one could argue that T'Challa was actually hyped the same way, back in the day. Reed was supposed to be this big brain (although not to the physics-breaking degree he became later) and he's in awe of the ship T'Challa gave him. And, of course, Panther handles the FF pretty easily (he's only defeated due to a wild-card variable)
The difference, I think, is in approach. T'Challa was a guest character. He was introduced, given a spotlight, and then became a recurring but not regular character for a few years until his eventual ongoing.
These days, tho, new characters are immediately given their own title, and trumpeted with disturbing amounts of hype. If Lunella, for example, had been introduced in a storyline in Ms. Marvel, and had been given a few years for the readers to get used to her (and indicate whether they actually LIKED her) I think she might have more approval. But instead, Marvel shoved her down the readers throats, thereby alienating many older readers. They've been doing that a lot, lately... one could also count the Midnight Angels as an example.
Tchalla designed the blue print for the life raft. Reed even sat there and went "oh snaps bruh thats amazing"

Next some "fan" will say "tchalla said it was vals idea!" Which was 100% referring to the "not lose" note.
She yold doom to not lose to... i guess we can give val vredit for battle world too lol
Giving val credit for the life raft bc she took tchallas designs and delegated who builds what is just.... bp fans are weird
Im actually surprised it took this long to add new blood to 5ge list.
Once u get to a certain point, tgey are all "plot device smart " lol.

I think Cho was the last addition... but that time, they were smart enough to make him the 7th smartest. (He got bumped down to 8th when Pym came back :) )
Tchalla still built the ship as that was confirmed in TRO. That goes to Him
T'Challa certainly designed the ship. I'm uncertain if he built it given what was shown in Secret Wars 0 though. But there were 2 life rafts, so maybe T'Challa built one and the Future Foundtion built the other. Either way, since you said you didn't recall Val creating the life raft, I thought those were relavent scans.
Honestly I do think Val at this point does deserve to be in the top 10 list though. It's not just about tech feats (though she certainly has her share). I think Hickman has done a pretty good job of conveying that intellectually she's a peer to Reed and Doom. Whether or not it's earned status is a different matter... and the same goes for Moon Girl and Riri (guess marvel REALLY wanted some women to prevent it from being a sausage fest). They all came outa nowhere. But there are other ways for a story to convey intelligence beyond feats. Moon Girl for example has never built a Dyson sphere like Stark... but she's still in elementary school. She couldn't build a Dyson sphere regardless of how smart she was. That factors resources into the equation, which is an entirely other issue.
I'm not throwing her under the bus, I just don't believe that she is more important or influencial to the overall MU then Tchalla just because she is new and they want to Hype her up. I think you're talking about entirely diferent things.
This listing was about intelligence, which isn't the same thing as being important or influential. If it was asking who is the most important influencial characters to the overall MU Iron Man or Reed would probably be at the top of that list over Moon Girl. I don't think ANYONE thinks Moon Girls is the most important or influential person on that list... it's just that she according to marvel is the most intelligent. It's apples and oranges.

The Cho thing is what I think probably popularized this notion of ranking the smartest people in the MU. It honestly doesn't entirely make sense to do something like that... but I think it just became sort of a thing for writers and readers to do that and think in those terms. Hulk book really ran with it, and even Liss' BP book jumped in there. I think Spidey at one point said T'Challa was the 9th smartest person in the world and T'Challa countered by saying he was the 8th. I thought he was being tongue and cheek but given Moon Girls and Riri's additions that may have been literal at that bumps him from 8 to 10.
Even though I don't think these lists actually matter... I am kinda glad they didn't bother listing Doom as a hero. At least T'Challa makes the list. Just being in top 10 is good.

Yeah there is a difference between intelligence, knowledge, experience, ect
You can have a real high IQ and still be ignorant.... or have tons of book knowledge and no real experience.. or have a photigraphic memory but no problem solving critical thinking abilities, ect
This list seems like raw IQ

I think it tends to default to "best at comic-book Science!™". You'll notice that they are all involved in the hard sciences, and are also inventors/engineers. There are no pure researchers (like Einstein or Hawking), no philosophers or artists. It's all very left-brain, very mechanical. When you get down to it, the list really ranks "who builds the best toys?"

Can you give me the season and episode number, please.
