I wonder how/if they'll do the Energy Daggers though.
Don't see why they wouldn't. In a world of a magic hammer, a vibranium shield, iron armors, infinity stones, ect... i can't see purple daggers being the line they won't cross lol.
I will accept nothing less than pwning. And I want cool weapons! A Panther-logo shield. Some double-edged short swords. The claws. A collapsible bo staff that can produce a spear-tip if needed. Energy daggers. And a cape that can be weaponized.
Someones gonna be disappointed. BP is more than a bunchof cool weapons and gadgets. Cape, shield, and double swords is dumb

If the concept art is anything to go by, he's not gonna have the cape at all.
No big loss. Its pretty much only a decorative accessory in the comics.
Even a short cape would make it difficult for the actor/stuntman who is gonna be running around with it on.

I only want a cape on him when he is in Wakanda acting as king... not when running around punching people
Don't need the batman comparisons

I can't believe people are claiming the shanty town to be Wakanda (and if it is Wakanda, I'm out). Marvel should just make it a thing. Every film from here on out should have a scene set in an actual African city and troll the idiots who think it's Wakanda. Maybe they'll learn some real world geography.
There is still many theories claiming that the African Village in Civil War is Wakanda. Ignorance at it's highest peak
If it actually turns out to be Wakanda, then I ain't paying shit to see Civil War
U and me both Bro.

It's ridiculously impractical for an acrobat to have a cape. Still ... it really does make him look pretty damn cool.

Yes We should all learn from the Incredibles. No Capes but I guess its not bad when he is on a Throne.

There seem to be danfo(minibuses) in the set pictures. If that's the case, then the setting is truly Lagos, Nigeria as danfo are a popular form of public transportation there.
Also, I will be disappointed if they ditched his cape. Don't really care if he doesn't have it in CW, but he's got to have it in his solo. I consider it an almost essential part of his look.

As ffor the cape, that would be one of my pet peeves when it comes to the costume. I will rather let him have a long cape than the short one. To me the short one never looked aesthetically pleasing to me but hey if most people like it then carry on
Also, I was wondering if they would change T'Challa's hairstyle like the one they had in Ultimate avengers 2 to make him look distinctive although I dunno how he would look with it when he is talking to every one in a UN conference but I think he would look cool

I'm pretty sure that the town in CW is meant to be in Nigeria (I've heard some people claim that it's in/near Lagos). But then again a surprisingly large number of people STILL seem to think that the Hulk/Hulkbuster fight took place in Wakanda as well, despite the fact that that makes ZERO sense at all.

I disagree 100%. He hasn't had a cape on in combat situation in a loooooooooooong time
-
Honestly, outside of Avengers: EMH (where he only wears it for a short time), I've NEVER seen him wear a cape.

Priest's run has the half-cape going on for most of it.

Regrettably I haven't gotten to read most of that run yet (it's hard to track down). I'm hoping that Marvel will starting collecting/releasing it in trades once the movie gets closer (like they did with DnA's GOTG run). I can start picking it up then.
