Given how shitty the venomverse comic chumped Tchalla and made some random girl the queen and new Black panther of Wakanda... Hmm probably will be ****
At this point, my mind is just numb to all these tbh.

The entire Venomverse event is pretty much fanfic, so I don't have too much of a problem there. She has a pretty solid body of work, so I'll at least give the first issue a check.
Great another new comic writer writing BP books

Never saw an alt-universe where things went better for the heroes for long especially the Venomverse.
Practically every What If ever published that had Captain America starring it had him dying at the end.

When is Marvel going to get some people who actually give a damn about this character to write him? The deconstruction era continues.
Thats good and all, But the simple fact that she chumped T'Challa first chance she got in favor of essential fanfic spoils any type of credentials she may have.
I'm not really sweating Venomverse. The whole concept is a B-squad rehash of a B-List event, IMO.

I haven't read it, but I'm assuming if it's essentially some sort of "What If" story, then it's sort of a given that things go bad for the heroes. If the criticism is purely that some heroes are looking bad in it, as opposed to the overall quality of the writing, then I don't think we need to lose too much sleep over this.
If the writing sucks in a more general sense, than that's another issue entirely.
Why...in...the...world does this keep happening? Someone is sleep at the switch. On a total of about 3 pages of Ultimates i have seen Ewing pull out great showing of Black Panther. Did he refuse? Was he even asked? I'm really starting to think there is an agenda wreck the character leading up to his movie. Its possible forces are moving to "soften" the king in anticipation of his elevation in movieverse.

Right! If its all about Afrofuturism/ warrior society then marvel keeps missing out on best qualified writer ever....Steven Barnes, hands down is unparalleled.

If there is an agenda to wreck T’challa before the movie then Coates and his cronies are gonna fail since the movie will show audiences worldwide a competent T’Challa.

Considering it's an alternate reality tale, where BP was not the star I would give her a break.
That being said glad they went the digital route.

Pretty much this, I forgot it was even out
The problem is how quick to job they are. Tchalla got jobbed by rhino who then gets jobbed by this random girl who was crippled literally a page ago, and she goes on to be Queen of Wakanda and BP.. while also being non Wakandan herself.. and this same person is also going to write a BP Story? ...

For like a 7 page story, the fights have gotta be pretty quick. She can likley do a lot more with a full issue.

Who knows. Alternate reality stories are usually full of out of character moments to get to a conclusion. Usually one step above fan fiction. Its digital, so I and 99.9 of the people who are going see the BP movie will never see it:)
