The Hudlin BP was total awesome sauce. You guys broke down what was so incredible about the Hudlin BP. I can't help but wonder why writers have gone out of their way to avoid writing BP like that.
It seems like forever since we got both a scheming, and straight-up dangerous BP.
Honorable shout out to Liss.
It seems like forever since I put down money on a BP comic.
I'd say Ewing wrote a fairly Priest-like BP.

Did Anthony Shaw say anything about "Priest" in the post you quoted?
What’s next for Marvel Animation?
Lane: Our Black Panther show, [Avengers Assemble: Season 5 – Black Panther’s Quest], is just coming along beautifully. We’re very excited. There will be some big casting news attached to that as well. It’s a serious sort of thrilling political [story] full of excitement and cliffhangers and espionage and incredible technology, almost sci-fi, but at the same time it’s grounded by this very sweet and relatable relationship between T’Challa and Shuri, a brother and a sister … an over-protective older brother, a sassy and ambitious younger sister who are both grieving the loss of their father who find themselves sometimes at odds but also watching each other’s backs at the same time. I’m very proud of the work that we’re doing with that show.
Hickman wrote a great Shuri, but his T'Challa was lacking....big time.

I believe this movie will break records.
I am hoping with this film, movie studios that release black cinema will embrace science fiction & high adventure. I can do without the Tyler Perry & urban crime stuff for a nice long stretch.

Man...."I'm going to get you, NAMOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Reading that online was very traumatic for me.
It's like being 8 y/o, and walking with my parents in a dark alley after watching Zorro at the movie theater....and some crackhead shows up.....

I think, and let me put emphasis on think, this will be the first superhero movie where the majority if not entire main cast is black. This is going to set a precedent for future films so with that I really hope it does well. I believe it will so well with the A-list cast attached to the movie.
And amen Amen and Amen to your last point. Let's not forget seeing black as slaves and always fighting for inclusivity. I want black people shown as kings and queens, gods and goddesses and this movie will definitely fit what I have been hoping to see for a very long time.

For those of you who are hopeful storm will one day make it into the Marvel films, specifically black panther's, there is hope:
