can i ask a question
How exactly has Klaue been a threat to Wakanda and T'challa
at least Killmonger is a worthy opponent, with equal fighting skills
what makes Klaue so dangerous? seems like just another arms dealer
Movie version doesn't seem much of a threat yet. He was able to steal from the mist advanced nation on earth, so he must be resourceful. But he'll likely need a upgrade to be a real threat.
Comic version is a different matter. On paper he's very powerful and virtually unkillable.
Why can't we get this in the books?!
In all fairness we don't know exactly what we're getting in the movie YET. It'seems just a teaser. Not that I'm not expecting something good, because frankly marvel studios hasn't disappointed me yet ... but comparing the movie to the comic or anything else for that matter is probably a tad premature.
Christian Ward (who does the art for Black Bolt) made some fanart after the trailer dropped:

Nice find. I like the design and color scheme.

Lot of goodies in the trailer. Terrific director, what a cast!!! and I expect this will do bang up business and surpass expectations much like Wonder Woman has for DC/WB. It has been a long time coming and the audience is ready, been ready for quite some time. Despite and perhaps b/c of that wait, the timing may be just about perfect as superhero films are oversaturating the market, it appears that the ones that stand out now, that excite audiences, the ones bringing in new fans and bringing back those who got tired of the same old faces, are the superhero films that aren't like the others, offering them something or someone different.

While this isn't about Black Panther per say these quotes explain why you got folks acting the way they are over WW & BP.
I'm not sure what Tim Drake has to do with anything, but yeah...I'd definitely say the same to X-Men fans and people who buy events they don't like.
If enough people say something there is plenty of time for reshoots. Think Justice League is about to do a bunch. If Coogler or Marvel has a BP twitter, light it up.
I agree with this. With plenty of time left between now and February 2018, light up Coogler's Twitter as well as Marvel Studios' Twitter regarding T'Challa's super-genius-level intellect. If they can't do anything to address it in this first movie, then hopefully they can showcase T'Challa's brilliance in a potential movie sequel, or even in the future Avengers movies.
But the time to let them know of our concerns is NOW.
All those colours and melanin popping off the screen is just gorgeous. I love it!
I agree. We all want the best for T'Challa (and I'm sure we will) and that's good. But let's celebrate the moment. This movie looks all kinds of epic. Let's wait till when the movie comes out, when we can actually judge.
If the intelligence-nerfing is indeed a problem, then waiting for the movie to be released and take a "wait-and-see" approach is too late, because by then there will be nothing Marvel Studios can do about it. However, if we take action NOW and tell Marvel Studios and Ryan Coogler NOW about our concerns about T'Challa's super-genius level intelligence, they have enough time to make changes to the movie.
In my mind, the worst that can happen in telling Coogler and Marvel Studios NOW about our concerns over Twitter is that T'Challa is already showcased as a super-genius in the movie, and there's nothing to worry about, and they confirm that he is indeed being showcased as a super-genius. However, if that is NOT the case and we say nothing, then Marvel Studios and Coogler don't make changes and we are left pissed off because we didn't say anything when we could have.
This is something we should be trying to get ahead of, instead of taking a "wait-and-see" approach because by then it could be too late, and then we'd have to potentially wait another two to three years for another movie in which his super-genius intelligence will be shown.
I don't intend to take away from Shuri's genius-level intellect (even though as far as I know she is not a genius in the comics), it's odd that they would talk about her genius intelligence and not discuss T'Challa's at all.

I only watched the teaser twice, so, I'm gonna ask, where was it implied or shown that T'challa is less smart now?

It wasn't, it was just confirmed that Shuri is going to be a super genius.... How that equals to BP not being a genius I don't know

In a interview Coogler mentioned Shuri's intellect was up there with Stark, no one has said that about T'Challa so emotions have ranged from calm to "Marvel done f'd up!"

On the glass half full side, Shiri being as smart as Stark is pretty darn amazing.
Too bad they didn't think of that when Shuri was first created
She could have beaten Moon Girl and Iron Heart to the punch as far as smart females go.

It started when the actress did an interview and stated that Shuri invented all the new tech Wakanda uses. I then questioned what if they make Shuri smarter than Tchalla and he is a Cap levels of intellect. Been kinda snowballing since then. lol
-
As long as T'Challa is also a genius I'm good even if Shuri is portrayed as a little smarter no biggie as long again that T'Challa is "Stark" level IQ too.

Rrally, it's not likely we can even tell who is smarter than whom. It's not like both characters will be stopping to take an IQ test or something in the middle of the film. The important thing is that try both end up looking smart even if it's in different ways.

Ah, OK. I was watching the trailer and was really concerned I couldn't pick it up lol. I haven't really followed any interviews and such so I didn't know that the actress said that. Here's to hoping they are both true to comic book form.
