Wakandan love is awesome :D
That was some fine storytelling.
It was greatness.
She was and still is a very underrated character. She did a lot of ish... but also went through a lot of ish.
Remember when I said that hopefully Nakia doesn't get killed by Creedmonger? That was in reference to the trailer where her and Shuri are heroically battling him.

Which i guess is kinda messed up since she allegedly betrays the royal family and gives him the suit to begin with... in-between hiking up snowy mountains protecting the royal family.

That damn Nakia... and her games!

Man can we all just take a minute to admire and appreciate how DOPE these costume designs are? I mean look at that! Its simply a beautiful mix of african culture mixed with Afrofuturism. Appreciate folks, stop hatin on whether Na'Challa is going to be a thing or not (since it is likely it will)
he was very dangerous. I'm just personally not a fan of enhanced/monster Klaw
Unfortunately for Klaw, he's an odd fit as a BP rogue.
He's incredibly powerful, but his weakness to vibranium means he also has been on the receiving end of his share of one hit KO's. So it can be tough to find a middle ground between him being too hard or too easy an opponent.
It'll be interesting to see what sort of a threat a human Klaw will be in the movie, and if they decide to go the monster Klaw route.
Especially if it's a Wakandan woman.
Why do you think people don't want him with a Wakandan woman? They all hate Monica... but they hate a Wakandan woman more.
Why is that? Is it because of something Coates said?
hehehe
They just don’t want to accept that Na’Challa is going to be exposed to worldwide audiences while Coates just continues to waste his time by trying to make T’challa and Storm work. Wakandan love is the best love.

It's hard to say whether it's the best or not because apart from vol. 2 of BP we've never actually seen Wakadan love from T'Challa.
But I'll say this... from a purely in-story perspective it makes sense for a king to marry a Wakandan. In hindsight I think it was somewhat surprising that the Wakandans were so accepting of T'CHalla being engaged to Monica and marrying Storm. I honestly would have expected a bit more resistance than what we got.
Currently reading the Black Panther Prelude. Not finished with it yet, but
[spoil]T'Challa has been the Black Panther for ten years, starting a week before Tony Stark announced himself as Iron Man. S'Yan is part of the Wakandan Design Group (though T'Challa didn't address him as uncle, so I'm not sure if this is just a nod or if it gets brought up later.[/spoil]
EDIT:
[spoil]Zanda!!![/spoil]

[spoil]Did they address whether he succeeded T'Chaka in the role or not?[/spoil]
[spoil]Did they address whether he succeeded T'Chaka in the role or not?[/spoil]
[spoil]Not directly. It confirms what we already figured which was that T'Chaka was the Black Panther at one point, but he looks decently old here, so it's still possible, even likely, that someone else had the position in between them. I'm starting to suspect that Sterling K. Brown's N'Jobu was that character and that he's probably the father to Killmonger, which may be part of Erik's motivation and why he has his own suit.[/spoil]
It's sometimes easy to forget that Ramonda isn't Wakandan, but yeah ... like father like son I guess.
In a meta sense it's easy to understand why T'CHalla constantly falls for foreign women. Monica was a POV character for the audience, while Storm was an attempt at making an A list power couple. But in story I imagine a lot of Wakandans have to be somewhat put off by their previous 2 kings fetish for foreigners. But maybe that's part of the reason we see it. There's built in storys to tell from the push back against it.
But Maliaka was Wakandan so....

Whoa whoa whoa! We can't say if it's the best love because aside from using logic and basic comprehension, why would a reasonable person believe that Wakandan love is in fact the best love for the titular Wakandan character of an Afro-futuristic Wakandan mythology?
I mean what about interracial Nordic love? or Mutant lo-.. lmao just kidding, we know mutant love aint ****, unless you have floo- er, Hudlin insurance.
But if we can no longer lie about T'Challa not liking or dating Wakandan women, let me just help the unfans a bit here. One second please...

I read the BP Prelude
[spoil] It was alright, some action, the art was so so. The Dialogue was okay. I think its worth reading as a BP fan. Not a fan of an over reliance on the habit or lack of showcasing his super genius, but what can ya do. At least he isnt moping like Coates T'Chumpa, He seems fiery and confident (overly so) in his role in Wakanda. T'Chaka mentions the HZ in there so i wonder if they will eventually make a appearance in the movies or if it was more so for comic fans as a shout out, same with S'yan.[/spoil]

At the end of the day, I'm glad n9ne of Coates nonsense has had any impact on the creative decisions that went into the BP movie.
The trailers have been exceptional in their depictions of Wakandan greatness in the face of aggression both internal and external.
I'm so looking forward to seeing this movie on opening night.
It's looking to be a very promising experience.
But Maliaka was Wakandan so....
Yeah, one writer at least went there. So he's shown willingness to date Wakandan women ... he just hasn't found any he's interested in marrying. Or at least not yet.
