Lmao stop it! It pisses me off too y'all. I know y'all thunk it's pointless, but I really hope Coates puts a stop to all the BP shade in regards to his relationship with Storm. He better not have brought her back into the pages of BP only to destroy it when he gets her solo. That would really grind my gears.
Writing X-Men ####s with people. Jason Aaron went from See Wakanda and Die to AvX: Versus and that lame A+X issue, after that he went all in on Storm/Wolverine.

Honestly, storm fans don't have anything to worry about. Other then his blunder in issue 5 the crew vs stane and co, His portrayal of Storm has been actually good. It shows what he can do when he actually cares about the character he is writing, and not using them as a spring board for other projects

Oh god, don't remind me. He makes me want to go on a serious rant. As matter of fact, I haven't even started in on his ass in there Royal Annulment Discussion Thread. **** him!

I'm patiently waiting. I'm not up for the ****, but fully prepared to flip it if things go south. Better believe that!

That's just it tho. If he doesn't expand on the work he's done on their relationship it will feel very hollow. And frankly, it will kill a lot of my excitement for her solo if he doesn't. Don't get me wrong, I'll still read her solo. But a lot of my excitement comes at the prospect of her greater ties to the MU. What greater tie does she have outside of him? He IS her connection to the Avengers. There's no way around that. Yes, she should have been a member before they got married (off her own merit) and that would have opened the door for more interaction throughout the years. And it would have further expelled the rumors of them barely interacting. Although Priest's run did happen. He even gave her power over earthquakes. Props to him. Storm fans don't give feats back. Lol

Naw those X-books make them show their true colors.. those writers and magically become white supremacist & racist.. they always were subdivision of the readership makes it more comfortable for them to express those views.

And then he wants to fawn over the Wakandan galactic empire once he realizes Black Panther’s Star is rising. Fuckers not fooling anybody.

I really do think the shade that is thrown Tchalla's way will die down once Coates' book comes out. The shade Guggenheim threw with the kiss is not encouraging; however, he has been doing a shotty job with Ororo period. I am very hopeful all of this petty will out once he comes over to the fold.

I liked this week's issue. For those who want a story with lots of T'Challa, this is not for you. That being said, it is the first Legacy issue and, therefore, has the added task of trying to bring new readers on board. I thought it did a very good job in traditional Marvel style of incorporating what's been going on into the story. If this is your jumping on point, it's a solid choice. Hell, it even had a Footnote telling people where they can find Ulysses Klaw's origin (on Marvel Unlimited no less).
[spoil]
The story is told entirely from Klaw's point of view. I think they're giving people an update on what he's doing and a little bit of why. It's still unclear whether he's interacting with the old gods, whether they're just parallel stories, or whether the old gods were just him all along. More importantly, the story does a good job of shedding light on his motivations. While it's not overly original (even for Coates's Black Panther), it adds something new. To my knowledge, the idea that Ulysses Klaw had a sister with mental illness who was lobotomized isn't from an older story. But it's still very tragic. I also like that they did a good job of blending the mad scientist Klaw with Reginald Hudlin's far more racist Klaw, particularly with Azania.[/spoil]
All that being said, while the story might give some more insight on Klaw, it also ends exactly where the last issue ended. At best, it incrementally advances the plot. For what I suspect will be the start of the trade and as a possible first issue for people, I think it works well.
I also thought it was interesting how my LCS sold the issue. It was full of the Lenticular covers (which is what they put in my box) and the Chip Zdarsky how to draw variant. I didn't see the main cover at all (which is a bit of a shame because I like the main cover).

I see his Storm solo existing in its own universe within the X-Verse ignored by all the other books because much like Marjorie before him even the X-Office ain’t about to piss off a literary award winner( things like that has clout with editorial), they have literally bungled their way back into bamboozling folks with that “see we diverse af” on some all powerful Oz stuff as once again if you want Storm character development and adventures you got Coates and if you want her in a X-Men proper book she’s there in one as wallpaper.
If they weren’t some dirty ass mofos I’d almost respect their swindle game
And I still expect T’Challa shade

i read the issue and I was honestly so confused. is klaw supposed to be Sefako that the villagers have been worshipping this whole time and if so how the hell is klaw associated with original Wakandan gods?

Thought you guys should know. From the Avengers 4 set:

It hasn't been answered yet (or if it has, certainly not to my satisfaction).
[spoil]
I think the story leaves open the possibility that he's appearing as the old gods or that he's actually calling them. If he's appearing as them, it doesn't answer definitively whether they're also appearing. I think the issue is about dropping hints, but it wasn't about answering those questions.[/spoil]

I don't think it can be JUST Klaw. Klaw likely wouldn't be able to make the Wakandans gods vanish. And at least one set of monsters they fought had telepathic powers... Klaws sound constructs couldn't do that.
Klaw may be working with the old gods or attempting to take advantage of the situation, but there's gotta be more going on than just him.

The parallels between T'Challa and Ulysses saving their sisters is just too lazy IMO but it's too bad that Julia is "too soft" or "too good" to be made a Shuri villain.
