When did I use it validate my opinion? I just brought it up.

After you done chased off all the coates fans from the thread, calling them "unfans", you can't stand to seeing the movie critisized? Some just want a safe lil echo chamber.
@bbeeryan. A strong cast is only a plus but I have a problem with how T'Challa is written. As for the comics, the story meandered but Coates has actually improved the way he's written the character. Whereas with the movie, if wakanda/killmonger and t'challa were given equal treatment, I'd be singing praise. I just find it funny because this thread is notorious for how much they sh*t on coates.
Lol can I vent? Y'all talk about "boycott coates" ad nauseum but I can't vent? Lmao

I agree that you have every right to express your opinion about T'Challa's portrayal in the movie. Similar to those of us who have utter disdain for Coates BP.
And just as we've expressed our views on Coates haphazard, mishandling of BP and Wakanda, there were those who thoroughly enjoy Coates work.
I think the problem with your poll is that you phrased the question in a manner to get a negative reaction about T'Challa. You weren't going to win that one because you were associating a negative connotation to a highly successful movie that an astonomical majority of not just fans but BP fans enjoyed.
Had you asked, who was the most compelling character in the movie with a poll listing the characters, you might have gotten a better debate. The results may not have changed but you would have gotten more in depth discussion rather than people spending all day defending their position that no one was going to change.
Good luck with your next poll.

On the domestic box office front, Black Panther will - at some point today - pass Spider-Man's gross adjusted for inflation. That will leave only The Dark Knight ($685.6m adjusted) and The Avengers ($705.8m adjusted) as superhero films to pass (overall, BP is currently at #39 all time on the adjusted list). It will get very close to passing Jurassic World's unadjusted gross ($652m) by the end of this weekend (Easter might hurt or help since families are getting together for the holiday). Either way, it will have passed both it and Titanic ($659m) by the end of next weekend for the #3 spot on the all-time domestic (unadjusted) list (Force Awakens is #1 with $936m, Avatar is #2 with $760m). While Avatar is unreachable, it's possible that BP can pass The Dark Knight and (less likely, but still doable) The Avengers on the all-time adjusted list.
On the international box office front, there isn't much news (though it did cross $100m in China, actually passing Guardians Vol. 2). The film's slowing down for the most part, though that's to be expected as the international market always tends to move faster than ours. Breakdown is below.
Can you pick out these posts calling everyone's opinion garbage? its ironic since most of the posts in this thread are complaining about coates when the comic and movie are similar. I see him getting outshined left and right and I can't vent? Lmao
Poll wasn't an L or whatever. I've seen a lot of criticism about T'Challa, and dude I responded to said he seen the criticism echoed around the Internet too. So I wanted to see how the rest of the sub forum felt.
The o real comparison between the current comics and the movie is that both of them expanded on the supporting cast and giving them more of a voice/role however, only one of those two managed to remember who's is the big dog in all of of this and treat him as such. Here's a hint, it's not Coates

Why? They've done a Nitpicks/Criticisms ultrathread for Ragnarok, Doctor Strange, Civil War, etc. You can just search the subreddit for "nitpicks" to find the others.

Agreed. It's just astounding.

So, I have a question about what's going on in Black Panther, then: The Orisha are in flight, right? Bast, Thoth, Khoku, etc. Is it the Adversary who is driving them away?

LOL! Reddit has long been a troll site for white supremacists. We're suppose to take them seriously? Yeah you failed with that.
