I think THE CREW without Kasper is not the Crew, but it needs to have its own identity, away from Black Panther. Each book, IMO, needs to have its own unique reason to exist or why bother?
Yup. This other version did not have the feel of the original crew. And Kasper is a must.
Valid points. We're allowed to differ.
I think Storm needs time on her own to build her own Storm-verse with her own everything in it. I would not pair her with anyone and definitely not BP if I were writing that book. I would let her "date" until I found someone- NOT BP– or created someone worthy. She would be herself before she would be someone's wife.
For BP it's the reverse. He's a classic super-hero in every way except he has no rogues worth discussing and, because people are so damned precious with Black characters, he doesn't get have a counterpart that comes out of his own story.
Yes, technically the Marvel Universe is a big shared party but, in real reality, the X has a lot of baggage on the writing side. If a BP & Storm story arc came into conflict with or contradicted an X arc that included Storm, the X arc would win. As a writer, I don't like going into any situation with creative handcuffs on.
I totally respect and understand where you're coming from on this sir but here's the thing.
The only folks being "precious" with black characters are Marvel editorial, rogue creative teams and some writers who either don't understand the intellectual properties they've been commissioned to write let alone, respect same.
Nighthawk needlessly killed off by David Walker, Adam Brashear held in place and only allowed to cut lose in the Ultimate 2's final issue and T'Challa supposed King of Wakanda, utterly reduced to milquetoast status by Ta Nehisi Coates.
Precious indeed.

At this point, it's just tiresome. :(
Sometimes the direction of a comic or series is so far away from anything I would write that there's no point in trying to take the gig even if it was offered. The version of Black Panther I would want to write no longer exists in the comics. That doesn't mean I can't enjoy reading it (I do) but, no, there's nothing about the current comic that inspires me to write stories. Anything I would write coming after that would piss off too many of the fans because MY version would be too much of a new thing at that point. No one would stand for it. It would be seen as a comment on whatever came before (it wouldn't be that but people would see it that way). Why make a fight when there's no reason for one?
Contrary to how it seems, I don't want to set myself up in a battle situation with the fans or with other writers. These days I would prefer to write THE CREW or TALES OF WAKANDA if I had any choice.
I dunno man of we can go from from Hickmans TRO where Wakanda is facing Thanos Black order and full might of his army and even then required then to attack 3 times to finally beat them, and Tchalla going against good Doom and not being obliterated on the spot, to Wakanda and being infested with rape camps, Tchalla struggling against. Two meta humans and Wakanda Being."brought to it's knees" on multiple occasions and barely struggling to stand against forces prior to Coates would of been handily spanked.. then I think whatever your vision of Wakanda is would be fine, plus with legacy being the name of the game, Maybe a older version of Wakanda is something we need. Coates new version isnt very appealing

You said it brother Ezyo1000.

I think it is a sort of tribute to Priest and Hudlin that it has taken nearly ten years and counting for Marvel editorial to dismantle the mythos that was realized under their (Priest and Hudlin) penmanship. The vision given to Marvel by Lee and Kirby was ignored for the most part for decades. But Priest let that genie out of the bottle and we all know it cannot be put back inside. The movie is going to shatter that bottle and burn the cork. But, again, if we don't all know that, we feel it.

fair enough. let's all see how well the movie and the cartoon are received and revisit.

so is there going to be a popular music soundtrack CD release for the panther movie? Just saying, it needs to happen. Orchestral music is just fine for those who get off on that, but....
Too bad Prince isn't alive to do this.

Prince would have been awesome. I was one of those lucky enough to see him perform at Paisley Park. For about 2 hours! Free! And after a two hour concert beforehand! Annnnd.......at around 3 a.m. he was still in the lobby thanking all of us, around 200, personally for coming. That little **** could dance, sing, and play guitar all at once better than most can only do one. He would have honoured the mythos.
He was only about an inch shorter than me, but he was so tiny. I actually felt big.

Sound like a good deal :)
We all want the best version of T'Challa. So far what you have produced has been great. I dont know the ratings obviously, But I am hopeful. Plus with the movie and the hype behind it... Revisit indeed..

Well that's what you get when a writer comes in with no respect for what came before.
It's also what happens when said writer feels they're reinventing the wheel.
Crash and burn ad infinitum.

The mind truly boggles at the crap Marvel editorial have pulled with the BP mythos dating all the way back to Doomwar.
One almost unbroken line of editorially supported nerfing with David Liss's run being the only bit of respite along the way.
Hopefully February 2018 will prove to be a positive turning point moving forward.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of DJs and producers just drop concept albums for free online
