You forget: All upgrades are temporary… unless they involve Storm. :/
Unless all of Wakanda is now going around praying to Storm 24/7 that upgrade seems fairly temporary in nature too.
It's potentially a rabbit T'Challa can pull out of his hat again if he's got enough prep, but in large part I think Storm (who rarely is written at her full potential even withoug upgrades) will likely stay status quo.
That doesn't sound like a temporary upgrade. Neither do all his other suits he has Created either
Then read the books, because Batman doesn't patrol Gotham in his anti-Superman armor, anymore than T'Challa commutes in a prowler

there's such a thing as overkill. Community in a Dooms day defense system would cause an obscene amount of damage. Plus he has faster form's of transportation.
Still doesn't mean it doesn't become a permanent upgrade when. Darkseid show's up again.

There's arguably such thing as overkill in Gotham... but not really in the Justice League.
You mention other suits he's created... how often do they show up? That should probably give us a good indicator of what sort of upgrade this is.

this is actually true and I agree.

about as often as the hulk buster shows up. As in it is designed got a specific purpose. It's still a permanent upgrade. If hulk starts going nuts Tony or T'Challa wouldn't go "oh sh$& what do we do? I wish we had some suit of armor capable of facing him but alas we only needed it one time then we got rid of it"

In the case of Starks Hulkbuster armor he probably should have just gotten rid of it, because he actually had a higher success rate against Hulk in his regular armor than he has with the Hulkbuster suit.
But if we're talking "permanent" upgrades that essentially get never get used then that's not really a problem... T'Challa already has plenty of those. That's right up there with Shadow Physics. So yeah, writers can give characters upgrades that are basically never used or heard from again, because they're harmless. They don't effect the characters status quo, so no harm no foul. That said, I personally am not a huge fan of those sort of things as it creates all sorts of plot holes down the line … it's something writers need to think about more when they decide to give heroes upgrades they really have no intention of them using after a single story.

I like upgrades. It makes more reasons for new merchandise.
-Thrice blessed armor
-Hulk buster panther
-Ghost spear(I'm changing the name from "spirit spear" it sounds cooler)
All things should be on display in the background during Tchallas' down time. Keeps them relevant when not in use.

so what exactly does the spirit/soul spear do and was coates the first one to have tchalla use it? like if you are pierced with it does the body endure physical damage or is it one that affects ones soul? I dont think I recall reading it explained anywhere.
Maj don't bother. Butterfly has been posting the sane reguitated argument "claiming" that BP enthusiast don't understand the context of how Tchalla beat Mephisto yet somehow they do after reading two issues or the client or something. They keep saying the same false information and claiming people here have "double standards" for Coates and Storm. Go figure. and it's beyond old and no matter how much any poster here with vast and complete knowledge of Bps mythos say about Tchallas filly realized and capabilities, we are simply wanting him to be a Mary Sue and hating on Coates and Storm because we don't like then and want Tchalla to be unbeatable.
No need to entertain the poster anymore
You're absolutely right.

There is no real description I think. Looks like energy attack.
If it were me, I'd make is so it only works on mystical targets. That way it's not redundant with energy daggers. Also tie it to his "Chi" so it doesn't get overused.

ok this is what I thought and I agree especially to the bold. this would give him offensive attacks that could affect not only mystical targets as you mentioned but I would add super natural targets as well. I recall him threatening one of his ancestors who was giving him ish and he quickly bowed down:

it glows even in the same color as his ancestors so I dont think it would be far fetched to assume there are mystical and super natural applications to its use.

I'm sort of hoping that he can summon different sorts of spiritual weaponry rather than just spears. Nothing super fancy... we don't necessarily need spirit air craft carriors of tanks or anything like that. But a spirit shield might be handy too. Magic isn't necessarily T'CHalla's strong point, so these sort of tools can be welcome additions.
But in the least, the fact that he's got a solid go-to weapon against magic in and of itself is cool. It's a nice add on to the King of the Dead stuff. I almost wish that previous ancestor did push things too far so we could get a better idea of what that spear can do.

lolol now that you are mentioning this I think it would be kind of cool to see him create different spiritual constructs aside from the spear. I mean if you think about it what is limiting him to making just spears? ,I'm seeing guns maybe even combat vehicles of some sort.

Shutting the hell up Mamadou with a spirit Thundertank would be kinda cool.
Though I'm assuming it's not quite a green lantern ring, where he can whip up anything. Would be interesting to know exactly what he can do though... I wish they brought back those marvel handbooks from the 80's.
