I mean a great big start but she going down. Why is it so hard for Diana to stay in the at least in 60k? I mean it's great she is more stable with Rucka.
Azz Run is 1 to 17: 76,214 to 39,110
Rucka: 103k to 48,662
I do wonder though could it be the bi-monthly causing the problem?

Well, Wonder Woman lost Nicola Scott as an artist which I think help sales. Her replacement isn't bad by any means but doesn't have the caliber or star-power of Nicola(yet). If DC would have replaced Nicola with another A-list artist, I think the decline in sales wouldn't be as steep.

I also think it could be bi-monthly schedule. I hope when Rucka leaves, we get someone who has written her before. I'm hoping they will at least have some continuity in the next story. I mean we have her in a new creative team.

Phil Jimenez just recently left Superwoman. Hopefully that's because he's returning to Wonder Woman.

It's a bit of a false equivalence to look at 1-17 in terms of issues since it's now a bi-weekly title. Azzarello's run was pretty consistent over the course of 3 years with relatively small decreases isssue to issue. Rucka has produced a LOT of issues in a relatively small amount of time but has also lost a large amount of readers pretty quickly. BUT the good news is the total number of WW sales is supporting the increased frequency, essentially Rucka is selling more than 2x (close to 3x) as many issues a month as Azzarello or Finch. Even if each issue was only selling in the 30k range they are performing pretty well compared to what's been the norm for WW.

Given that the drop was happening pretty steadily while she was still on the book, I don't really think Nicola leaving had a whole lot to do with it.

What I'm saying is that I don't think the drop would have been quite as steep if Nicola had stayed on or if DC had replaced her with another A-list artist. Almost all titles decline as time goes on unless there is a major creative team change or an event. We're nowhere near the "danger zone" of 25K which usually signals a creative change, change of direction, or in some cases cancellation.

That's a shame about Odyssey of the Amazons. Maybe it will do better in trades.

At the rate things are going, that won't last through the end of April.

I'm hoping to see a boost coming with the movie release. Wonder Woman Annual #1 and Wonder Woman: Steve Trevor #1 could help, I guess.
