I've caught much flack over the years for my undying love of old school Madonna.
You know, I've never been a fan, but I just listened to Timberlake's duet with Carey Mulligan on a cover of the classic folk tune "500 Miles" for the movie INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS and I was hell of impressed. Both of them did that song justice, and it was as good as the many 1960s recordings (e.g. by Peter, Paul, and Mary, the Kingston Trio, Peter and Gordon, etc.) of it.

Had been meaning to see that movie after seeing the trailer for it last year, but never got around to because of time/budget limits. Mostly unfamiliar with 1960s folk, but the trailer really piqued my interest. Nice to see Timberlake handled himself okay (with the music, at least; I think is acting is generally okay from what I've seen here and there).
Currently listening to Muse's Black Holes & Revelations album. It holds up better than I'd expected. But I still prefer their pre-Black Holes output.

And currently listening to the Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare album, specifically 'D Is For Dangerous'.
Big fan of Madonna's 80s output here, but her 90s stuff is where things got really interesting. Especially Bedtime Stories.
