Opera is usually pretty depressing, but this particular bit is actually funny - the song of the mechanical doll Olympia (who has to be re-started twice while singing) from Jacques Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann. (This is the aria with the astonishing high notes after 3:50 and 5:50.) Incidentally, this particular performance is sung by the understudy (Rachele Gilmore, making her debut at the Met on just 4 hour's notice).
