The "Vae Solis" album might be an easier entry point (more similar to Godflesh, but pales in comparison), or "Colossus" (transition to the "ambient dub" style), but I've always felt "Evanescence" to be peak Scorn. Oddly enough, being a long time Godflesh fan I was never able to get into Jesu.
Now playing...

I had the reverse issue; I'd gotten into Jesu first and worked my way back to Godflesh and couldn't get into it at first. Maybe because Jesu is meant to be poppier and more accessible.
Now playing: Pet Sounds (album) - The Beach Boys

Grim Reaper - *Rock You To Hell* - "Suck It And See"
So, I was watching a documentary today about the Great Plague of London in 1665. It's subject matter rather morbidly inspired me to listen to this:
Prequelle (album) - Ghost
This album is a modern day masterpiece. I'd recommend it to any fan of Metal.
