Well, this certainly does not seem like the usual UXM thread. I really don't know how to react to these unnerving circumstances.
It was because the JGS was featured. It will go back to normal im sure.
Yet the team abandoned Storm for Rachel. What he says there doesn't fit the narrative at all. Storm even gave up leadership in favor of a silent vote when the team didn't react well to Storm forcing herself as leader, instead of EARNING it like Rachel did, and causing conflicts with Rachel. This is the case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing as Storm isn't even the main character or focus - Rachel is.
So, no. It isn't head canon and I suggest you remove that distasteful image as it's very petty.

I didnt write the story he did. If you have issue with Storm being the leader I would suggest you take it up with Brian Wood. At any rate I think I have proven my point im done and will not discuss this further in this thread.

Brian Wood turned Rachel fans and Storm fans against each other.

Yet the story he's writing doesn't fit when he said there. Fact is that Storm isn't the leader, they did a silent vote and in the very next arc Rachel is leading the team and Mont and Psylocke chose to follow Rachel over Storm. There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. That's literally what happened in the book.
You really didn't and once again. Remove that image, it has no place here.

Not really, making Rachel the main character, POV, focus, and earning leadership instead of demanding and expecting it has naturally made certain fans feel threatened when they should be happy that Storm grew as a character bby admitting she made mistakes and letting Rachel lead after Rachel proved that she earned the role. Besides, those certain fans were already against Rachel's father so it isn't strange they react that way when it comes to the Summers name due to how the X-Men revolves around Summers and has done so for many long years.

There was no silent vote. Storm proposed to have one if the girls had a problem with her being the leader. When she brought it up again they went "Nah, let's kick some ass instead".
Also Rachel's prominent role in the current arc mostly has to do with the fact that she's related to Deathbird, who's at the center of the plot. I wouldn't get too used to it, if I were you <3

Also Brian Wood isn't writing the current arc.
Also who creates a team to put someone else in charge of it ? Demanding leadership... LMAO.

It was still voted upon as Storm didn't take the leadership title afterward like she tried earlier. They followed the lead of the one who would lead and Rachel stepped up in Bloodlines, Arkea, and the Shi'ar arcs which is practically the entire volume 4 series.
Rachel has no relation to Arkea yet she lead the team there and planned their strategy.
Rachel has no relation to bloodline yet she kept the team together and brought Storm back to her senses and lead the team there as well as planned their strategy.
Shi'ar arc is no different other than that she's related to Deathbird. She's still taking charge and doing all the planning with Storm now following Rachel's lead without argument now due to Rachel proving herself.

Lawl. Poor Maria Hill. First time she hasn't been portrayed as 100% incompetent within the pages of Uncanny and folks are totally ignoring it in favor of what just might be the lamest feud in x-history.

Good to know, so what Brian said there really doesn't hold in the current stuff. Especially since it doesn't fit what's in the book. Thanks for clarifying there, well butterfly. I really suggest you remove that image now with this being the case.
Storm didn't want a vote initially, she acted like she DESERVED to lead and didn't want to hear anyone's opinions and tried to force others to conform to what she wanted to do. Psylocke even stopped from killing Omega Sentinel because of Rachel even though Storm demanded that Psylocke kill Omega Sentinel.
Later Storm ADMITTED, something Storm fans should be happy about as it shows that Storm is mature enough to admit she messed up and wanted to fix things, that she was wrong to do that and ignore team input and wanted a silent vote. Later Rachel agreed to follow Storm but Storm also decided to also listen as well hence why Rachel, throughout the series, has taken more and more of a role as a Leader of the team and has veterans like Psylocke following her without question now.

Same feelings for me as well. So I don't add to the derail (though you've addressed them extremely well...loving the gif), and you've likely already seen these, but I'll send you the actual canon on what really happened in the Storm Appreciation thread shortly.

I thought Monet was leader of the team because she is one of my favorite characters?
