During her short stint with the Birds of Prey 69-73 (the 5th TPB of the run) in a story called Between Dark and Dawn, it may have been used in more than that but I can't remember. I do remember she also wore and really bland and garish hot pink/purple-ish body suit as well. Not her finest of choices I think.
Vixen's short hairstyle has become linked with the character, making it hard for her to venture out with a new look. It's kind of her trademark now because of the JL Unlimited cartoon,
I would love for Vixen to return to her long braids look....maybe something like this.
I agree with this notion.
2 established villains I can see are Gorrilla Grodd and Poison Ivy even if Poison Ivy is a anti hero her methods could still clash with Vixen's.
You can pull the 2 villains from her animated show.
There are 3 villains from Batman the animated series I can see being used, one was used in JLA Rebirth/JLA #1
And I think there are 3 obvious ones people can create for Vixen.
Sprinkle in some good ol' adversaries and I'd say that's a good rogues gallery or at least a selection.
Sportsmaster or Deadshot would also be interesting additions to her potential rogues gallery as it goes with the theme of animals and hunters. All we need is a tech based villain (Nature vs Technology) and We've got perfection.

Ivy is a the given but DC seems to want to turn her into a hero
How about the floronic man? He plays with similiar themes as Ivy, but he isn’t as tied up in other franchises as Ivy is so the writer would probably have more freedom to do interesting things with him. I liked Kuasa her sister from the animated series, and feel she should make her way to the comics. Hunter themed characters like Deadshot might work for a story or to but I feel they are under powered. The ideal foe for Vixen are ones that play off her theme of nature, and have versitile powers.

I think Black orchid would be a good frenemy for her to have. It's a paralell similar to Animal Man and Swamp thing's dynamic. Ivy would probably work in this role but Black Orchid isn't tied up anywhere.
I also wanted to see her go against some WW foes like silver swan and dr psycho. It just feels like a good fit given her modeling background.

I love Vixen's Halle Berry cut, plus she is one of the few women in comics who rock short hair and it's practical too, but I did love her Birds of Prey look, she rocked those braids ...or were they locs, but she looked good.
Both looks are better than the hair she has now, I like Vixen rocking her natural hair and the slight bob she has, but not every artist can do it, and some don't even try, it was the best in that Rebirth one-shot.

I totally forgot about technology ...well make that four obvious villains then.
When I say hunter, I was thinking more Kraven from Spider-Man who is a big game hunter, I can see Vixen kind of being seen as the ultimate trophy b/c of her abilities.
Saying that I can see Deadshot and Vixen clashing multiple times since he is an assassin, I mean Vixen is a celebrity so she'll be invited to exclusive parties and interact with people from old money and new money, from aristocrats to businessmen etc, and being that it is canon that she has her own charities that usually involves interacting with politicians, what's more classic that an assassin taking out a politician.

I can see Vixen fighting Floronic Man, I mean why not both tbh, but personally the reason I always choose Ivy is b/c I can see her recurr every now and then in a Vixen book, I'm not sure if the DC world knows that Pamela and Ivy are one and the same, I don't know if they updated Pamela's personal life, but I can see Vixen and Ivy working together and even clashing in their personal life as an enviromentalist and an animal welfare/rights activist ...and I can see them clashing in costume too whether Ivy is a villain or anti-hero, I basically pick Ivy b/c I can see her and Vixen having a personal relationship in their civilian lives as colleagues, acquaitances, frenemies etc b/c their passions regarding nature will have them in the same enviroment or working together.
In the case for DC actually making Ivy a hero, like the couple of articles that have come out have said it seems DC doesn't know what to do with Ivy. It's like they are listening to fans and are once again trying to make a female villain into a hero but are hesitating in fully committing to that b/c they have no plan or b/c they prefer her as a villain.
As for the lind of villains Vixen should face, the great thing about Vixen is that she is versatile, she's kind of like Batman, ignoring the logistics of Batman being among the big leagues of heroes fighting big threats, Vixen can do small threats and big threats and you kind of see that with the animals she's using, like the common animals that most people know are used for the small threats but some of the animals that aren't common knowledge usually are for the big threats.

I can see the Black Orchid thing as well, the great thing about Vixen's civilian job, her lack of dual identity, and her personal interests shown through her charities is that it can have her interacting with a lot of different people.

Since no one is using her, I'll use Tala as a villain.

We need a black woman to write a Vixen series. A black Woman who knows the struggles of being a black woman in America.

I know Mari is not African American but next to Storm she is the closest thing we have to black female representation in comics.
Doesn't that sound racist?

Storm is African American, she was born in the Unites Stated and her father is black American, people erase that or forget.
And technically Mari is African American, in the literal sense.
As for writers, I would want a black woman to write a Vixen solo, but I don't need one too, I would want one for the simple fact that there aren't any or hardly in the industry, I would want one because there are things that they would write that would seem authentic for Mari as a black women, like maybe they would have the artist draw a panel with Mari sleeping and we see her wearing a silk cap, or a scarf, or we know she sleeps on silk pillows basically things that keep from damaging black women's hair. Would white writers or non black people of color know this, if they don't how would they even ask about this etc. So a black female writer would know what to show, what to say, without the research.
But as stated before I don't need a black female writer, I think any writer can write any character, or rather I think a good writer can writer any character, research is half the job ...I guess my thinking is like Christopher Priest in that way.

When i said Mari wasn't African American, I meant she wasn't raised here. Her views on the American Black woman is gonna be different compared to black women raised here.
Now with that being said, Vixen is much closer to the streets then Storm...giving her more opportunity to mangle with the black community.
I love Storm but I really can't see her going to a black neighborhoods and not standing out a little. On the other hand, I can see Mari at the local MLK Bar-b-q.
An interesting story could revolve around Mari life when she first came to America.

Didn't Mari leave her village as a child after her father died, so she finished growing up in the States, basically the rest of her childhood, her teenage years and now her adult years have been in the States, I feel like it would be the same as black American women born here.
Saying that though, I can see exactly what you mean, maybe she'd have a dual perspective like how biracial people have a dual perspective on race which would be cool to see explored.
I agree with you on Vixen being much closer to the streets, despite the fact that Mari is a supermodel with a lot of money, I see it more with Vixen then with Storm who was born in Harlem and was a part of that comic The Crew or Black Panther & The Crew which had black heroes working in the streets I believe.

I read that the last male white rhino is very sick.
It made me think of Vixen specifically Injustice 2 where Vixen, Animal Man, and Posion Ivy are with Ra's al Ghul and they have facilities protecting species of animals and plants.

Would be nice if Vixen had a villain that was similar to Poison Ivy only that he/she is obsessed with protecting the wildlife on earth and is willing to destroy humanity to do it. Also I think the Menagrie would be an excellent addition to her possible rogues gallery (minus cheetah obviously).

Before he 'got bored with it' and turned to hunting and killing humans, Deathstroke was quite the trophy hunter of big game, so I could see him, or someone like him, being a foe of Vixen.

They should also take those elemental totems from the show and use them to create new rogues or give them to obscure DC villains to revamp them.
