South Carolina husband and wife steampunk band Valentine Wolfe have done a cover of Dio's "Rainbow in the Dark." It's different. It's cool.

Brantley Gilbert makes me proud to be on the higher end of the evolutionary scale.

You can check out video of Metallica performing "Frayed Ends of Sanity" live in its entirety for the first time ever via this Blabbermouth.net news link.
I could have sworn "Frayed Ends of Sanity" is on one of their live albums. I guess not, if they're saying this was the first time they've played it live.
Kind of a dull live, isn't it?
Reminds me of this thing that used to go on at Anthrax's message boards. The fans really wanted the band (back when John Bush was the singer) to play "Lone Justice" live. They teased it a couple times, then played it here in Cleveland. It sucked live.

Kind of a dull live, isn't it?
It's not bad. It's just...kinda meh. I imagine it would have been a lot better 25 years ago when they still had the fire and before their live tones were garbage. It just feels half-hearted here.
Kirk nailed that solo, though.
