Here it is cap! I knew I saw the pic somewhere, the Fear Agent Library Editions look to be the same height as the Colossal Conan.
Turns out I was not remembering correctly! I think it's just bigger in my head.

i only flipped through it when it first came, but found it cool. more of an art book with some short stories mixed in than anything else.

When I bought them they weren't hard to get, in fact I bought, sold then re-bought Astonishing X-men over a year or two from Book Depository.
Yeah Gotham Central v1 HC I found here in a comic shop, it is sun damaged had been sitting in all day sun for a few years. It was cover price but I honestly don't notice the sun damage, the picture makes it look worse than it is.

Is it ok to say "OMG BOOK PORN!!!* *drool*
Ahem... sorry :)
I have a deep and abiding love for books, and although my comic collection is rather sparse, my total book collection is not.
One thing that's put me off buying collected editions of comics is how expensive they are to buy here in NZ. Where does everyone order from?
In your opinion what are the pros and cons of having either the color reprints of EC comics that are focused on the various titles, as opposed to the black and white reprints which are focused on the artists? Im curious because I got Came the Dawn and it looks great. I enjoy the essays they include about the artists and the history/behind the scenes stuff. What am I missing with the color reprints?
I have 6 of the Fantagraphics books, and although they're really nice and I loved the essays, they look more fragile than Dark Horse's Archives. Also, I feel color and the bigger art is the way to go with these.
By the way, nice to see this thread, along with the Marvel and DC ones, are all now in a section of their own.

Mostly Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de because the usual sites like Instocktrades and Cheapcomics have ridiculous shipping prices to Holland
There is a Brian Bolland oversized HC collecting Dredd stories containing his art, I used to have it and it was pretty good.
I was thinking of getting that book but then I heard that as it is a specific author book, some stories are are only partially collected as they were co-written with other authors and the those authors contributions aren't included. Kind of like the mess that is the Lonely Place of Dying story in Teen Titans omni 3.

I'm in Australia and I get most of my books from Amazon.com. Occasionally I get them from Book Depository.
we need to somehow get kalitariks amazing post of all the oversized hardcovers somewhere near the front page on this thread.
edit: this is weeks, did a name change. can't seem to get stuff changed in my profile yet.
Oh, I'm so happy someone remembers this. So, let me update the lists a little and I'll post them again here, and then you (or Martin or anyone else) can fix them and rearrange them as you see fit and add them to your first page posts. In the meantime take a look at this:
