It sure does
I also wouldn't go over the RRP. I believe I only did this once several years ago with the Silver Surfer (SA) Vol. 1 Omnibus when it was OOP. The first printing was retailed at $75 and I went over maybe $15-20. The current printing is retailed at $100 whereas the first printing has the faux leather cover and thick paper. The only downside is it's quite tight as it's glued. I don't mind this once due to the remaining quality characteristics. It's one of my favourite Omnibuses.
Ok back to Conan Omnibis or collected editions...
My question: Marvel looses the right for publishing Conan. They won't reprint the Omnibis, what means that they will stop publishing the Epic collections, too? My guess is, yes.
Alright, the original Marvel years are too expensive right now, at least the first one or two. Epic line for Conan is dead maybe, at least it won't go till the end of the original run.
Dark Horse collections on the original material is complete, but the coloring is ugly as hell, so no alternative for me.
So...how to collect Conan? Any idea my fellows?
Okay, I take that as a no ;-)
My question is obsolete now, that I purchased volume 1 and 2 of the original marvel years omnibus for an affordable price.
Quite happy right now, and I think the best way to collect the old Conan storys.
I see Omar of NMC put out a video on the upcoming Cyberforce volume 1 hardcover, turns out it is not oversized. Which is a shame, I was really interested in it before finding that out.

This is inline with the current Wtichblade and Darkness hardcovers - so I'm not surprised.
This is a big announcement.
At the Diamond Retailer lunch yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con Marvel Comics showed off new prints of the early Marvel Masterworks volumes, going back to the original files and artwork, in the light of what people like Scott Dunbier at IDW brought to the act of archiving and repringting classic comic books, as well as the critique of colourists such as Jose Villarubia, to remaster the line. Spring 2023 will see the original Marvel Masterworks volumes having theri artwork restored furtherm rather than the relatively crude procedures used at the time.
No more garish, too saturated colors.

Even my Omnibus with the bad Cassidy cover is going for big bucks.
See my post above. I wonder if there is any chance of a Conan Masterwork with original coloring? I would sell my omnibus for that!
Does anyone know if the original Judge Dredd series from the 80s has been reprinted? I am talking about the original 80s series that alternated art duties and featured Brian Bolland covers.
Really looking forward to Asaf Hanuka's The Realist vol 3. I loved the first two.
Question about the Grendel collections. There are 4 "Grendel Omnibus" books and 2 "Grendel Tales Omnibus" books that collect various issues of the monthly series and minis. Looking at the contents listings, they don't seem to collect everything?
- Grendel: Devil's Odyssey came out after the omnibus releases, so that obviously has its own collection.
- Grendel vs. The Shadow seems to have its own collection.
- Batman/Grendel I and II seem to have their own collection (collected together).
- Devil's Whisper doesn't seem to be collected at all?
- Silverback doesn't seem to be collected at all?
Is this correct? Any Grendel fans out there that can add any insight? Thanks!
I see that the Boys has recently come out with three oversized hardcover omnibus. Did anybody get these? What is the quality like? I’m definitely interested in them, how oversized are they?

Yes, I did. They are nice, deluxe sized. But not wrapped in plastic, so the dustjacket is vulnerable when shipped (Amazon etc).

Bold strategy to not ship a Mature book in plastic. Sounds good though, thank you for the response. I’ve been wanting to check out the series for a while and this seems like the best way with them being OHC’s and the definitive editions are out of print.

That's why I also went for these.

Do they collect the Dear Becky mini that was recently released?
I own the Definitive editions, and would very much like to have Dear Becky in a a matching format...
Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but does anybody know if DC has plans to complete their collection of Silver Age Flash stories? I guess it's now technically "Bronze Age", but they left off at Vol. 3, collecting up to issue #199 and there are only 51 issues to go to complete Barry Allen's story (at the time).
In order to print new Omnibus that are late should Marvel stop with the reprint of older Omnibus's until they catch up? They have a massive back log and some books are not being published at all.

Why yes. Yes they should.
So apparently Erik Larsen is releasing Savage Dragon in deluxe hardcovers - looks like 12 issues or so a book? About time. And I think I saw somewhere about a the next Spawn Origins hardcover being released soon (after like, what, 4 years?).
I'd really lover to see Cadwicks' Concrete collected in some type of deluxe or library hardcover.
And Willingham's Elementals.
Sigh.
I'm interested in both Spawn Origins vol. 5 (which is more around 6ish years from vol.4) and a Savage Dragon Deluxe.
Any chance the Black Science (Remender) hardcovers will come back into print?

No, it doesn't contain.
I went ahead and pre-ordered the up coming Spawn over-sized slip-case hardcover collection.
Just the first volume though, as that's the one that is primarily McFarlane art.

Can anyone let me know if the Walking Dead colour Deluxe issue were ever re-print in a collected edition as I know someone who would like these as a Christmas gift. Thanks for any replies.
Any Jeff Lemiee fans here? Can I read Ascender without having read Descender?
Any Jeff Lemiee fans here? Can I read Ascender without having read Descender?
I haven't read Ascender yet. It's on the pile. But I would recommend Descender. And it's available again in deluxe editions.
Any Jeff Lemiee fans here? Can I read Ascender without having read Descender?
Not really. It's basically the continuation of Descender.

I was scared when I saw the price on the first editions, didn’t know they were back in print. Grabbed both volumes at IST, thank you!

You're welcome. Enjoy!
I thought I had missed the Hickman Fantastic Four V1 omni reprint from last year. Happily noticed it was still available on CGN for $60. I had been watching items on ebay, and saw one in so-so shape go for $100 last week. Lol. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266094303006
Also I find it weird that both CGN and IST have the wrong issue selection showing for Absolute All Star Batman and Robin. Both only say it's 1-9, but I saw on a Youtube video that it's 1-10. That 10th issue is a big part of the draw for me as I never read that issue.
I have to say, I’m excited but also incredibly angry about Skybound’s new announcement on Twitter. They FINALLY announced Volume 4 of the Invincible Library Edition. I went and got all of the remaining Ultimate collection hardcovers because they weren’t announcing anything..
Ryan Ottley has said it’s because of low sales they weren’t able to do any more, but now that sales are through the roof he is designing covers for what I imagine to be the remainder of the library editions.
Any Stray Bullets fans? It looks like Sunshine and Roses has 4 volumes. I have read and reread Stray Bullets Uber Alles and Killers but I missed these. Any thoughts?

More SB goodness. Kind of an inter-quel. Fills in some gaps in the first arc or two of the original series. Not sure if it's complete or on hiatus, but volume 4 only collects up to 32, and pretty sure the series is at 42, leaving that last bit uncollected.

Thanks for the reply! I was holding off on Sunshine in Roses until it was collected in trade and then all of a sudden there were 4. Killers was really good so I am putting this on my radar for next month.
For those interested (like me), Rick Remender's Black Science premiere hardcovers are coming back to print for fall this year. Preorders already up at OPB.
Next year is the 50th anniversary of the Warlord. Mike Grell is wanting DC to do an omnibus of it and he said people need to contact DC to let them know you want an omnibus also.

I need to read this one! I just have the omnibus and was an intense read, I was in a noir era and probably one of my favourites along with Parker and Sleeper. Do you guys think we will ever see some HC from SB?
