Black Road is Brian Wood, he has a good reputation regarding finishing his books doesn't he?
I think so. He completed DMZ and the Massive. In fact, after the Massive, he went back and did a mini-series prequel to it.
Meant Image comics really, seem to have a few series that just seem to die, one of my recent favourites being Manhattan Projects, what happened to that (forgive if I’m behind the times, I only read collected editions and I get my comics news from this forum only, so I’m mostly way behind on latest news and stories)
I love this series, so I'm interested in this question as well.

Rumor was Hickman and the artist(whose name is escaping at the moment)EDIT(it's Nick Pitarra) had a little falling out.
Although Hickman isn't a stranger to no finishing books, i. e. S.H.I.E.L.D., Secret, Manhattan Projects, and that other series he solicited about a year ago that didn't even have the first issue out and was postponed.

Secret was eventually finished, although it was wrapped up quickly cause Bodenheim is slow (he's the same artist on The Dying and the Dead that's taken forever to complete).
Pitarra's art rep mentioned he was working on new MP art a little while back, so take that as you will. Though I've seen or heard nothing from either him or Hickman directly.
I might be missing something here, but what is this Quantum and Woody reprint?
what do you exactly want to know? Are you familiar at all with Valiant?

Oh, I've seen secret marked a "volume 1" which led me to believe it was unfinished. My mistake. Looks like I'll have to pick it up then!
And interesting, the MP news is new to me. That just leaves Marvel and Shield....

I can see how that could be misleading lol. I have the trade amd really enjoyed it initially, but it shows how quickly threads were wrapped towards the end unfortunately

I'm familiar with Valiant and broadly with the characters, but everyone's talking about a post where I cannot see the full link nor which exact book was being republished.
JPAR provided the answer I was after. So that book was already released and its seeing a reprint? I was hoping the Omnibus might get a reprint at some point.

^^^^^
The book in question is the Quantum & Woody Deluxe volume 1.
It was originally priced at MSRP of $40. The reprint is at MSRP of $50 and that's caused some discussion.
Other discussion topics are why on earth VEI would elect to use Q&W as their test book to gauge interest in reprints on their long out of print catalog that people are asking for reprints. So many other characters are what people actually want: X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Ninjak, Rai, 4001 A.D. or Harbinger.
I feel for those wanting reprints of the better VEI library cause Q&W is just a divisive book. It's one where 95% either love it or hate it, that middle ground is very narrow.

It might be that the experiment is that if they can sell out a reprint of arguably the worst book they have put out then they will have no problem selling out reprints of the good stuff :)

I looked several pages back and couldn't find anything related, so I apologize in advance if this has been asked or answered previously...
Does anyone know if the Hellboy Library Editions are out of print from vol. 3 onwards? Can't seem to find them anywhere. Even my LCS told me they just don't show up in their system anymore.

From over on the Dark Horse thread:
In the Omnibus Collectors group on Facebook, somebody posted a message exchange with Dark Horse and they said that 4 and 6 would be available again from 16 January. Apparently they have some sort of rotating schedule for the reprints.
Ah yeah, there are a few image series that have died an early death.

All were blind buys except for the BPRD.
I've been curious about AD for awhile and it's got two decent comic creators on it which isn't always a guarantee (Millar's Swamp Thing run was much better once Morrison left), but I got a good deal on it. I'd actually never heard of We Stand on Guard but it's BKV, and he's usually pretty great. And God Country - Donny Cates is turning out some hits and this has received nothing but praise, so I figured to give it a go.

I actually just finished AD myself. Thought it was really good. We Stand in Gaurd was just ok imo. Curious about God Country, let us know how it is
