The Scarlet Spider Vol. 2/New Warriors Vol. 5 run by Yost is so much fun. I highly recommend it.
Well I did not know that and I wish Yost and Kyle would return to save Laura from Tamaki and Taylor.
Can you please not hate on Tamaki until the new X-23 series is out, at least? Bruh...

No kidding. For all we know Laura will turn out to be the exactly right character for Tamaki's writing style.
Anyway, I seriously hope they don't bring the Clone Degeneration stuff into the main 'verse. Let it stay an AU plot point.

Seriously. Sick of people bashing on Tamaki’s book when we haven’t even see a preview yet.

Can I help if most of the new writers at Marvel appear to never have received basic training with only a few who got lucky? But I'll be fair on Tamaki if has finally learned how to write superhero comics.
Also, Taylor himself states it's about 30 years into the future.
Do you have any source for this claim? Imo I don't think 30 is ideal for him to go forward with. I would suggest him to make it 50-years. I have nothing against the clone issues. Just the timeline needs to fit. If he wants to go short term atleast make it half-century. It sutis the story-line more

Exactly. I'm preatty excited about it. Tamaki run in hulk was disliked because jen dealing with ptsd wasn't a plot that people could get behind like the tmist killing mutants no writer could make the plot bearable. When it was finished and she could do what she wanted that last issue was perfect. Tamaki has a good handle of the psychological aspects of characters and thats good for Laura. If she can handle Laura's emotional state well that could work.
As for the name(and people comparing it to magneto going by his concentration number for some stupid reasion) we knew she wasn't going to be wolverine forever, she took it to honor logan, while going by X23 sucks there are some ways to make it bearable/work. Ex she respects Logan so much that with him back she wants his blessing for it and him give it to her would be a good moment.

Yes Maria hill will be that old and her being 80 won't be much of a problem. She could have been a great athlete hence she could age like a wine and honestly speaking it dosen't take anything from the plot-line. Going with 50-years is a must in my opinion for him to make this story-line stronger with more gaps to fill in. I don't see either any sources him saying 30 but it could be anything between 40 or 50 also. Hopefully he goes with the wise option which is 50 years. Hence it dosen't conflict much with Maria Hill's age and she was pretty much all white haired due to age.
This will transition even much better into X-men movie universe since they use alot of half-century marks. The time travel in DOFP was 50 years back and the time Logan got his metal and between his death is 50 years. This 50 years will completely fall in line with this half-century mark that has been used regularly already in the XMU.
Laura's character was born in 2018 in the X-men movie universe and she is currently 20-21 in the marvel comics universe so you just add this to 2018 and thats 2039! which means this is where she is living currently in the X-men movie universe. then you fast forward 50+ then we are at 2089 and the fact that the city had large futuristic buildings fall in line with Laura's X-men movie universe timeline

Cabal is ok, but I am extremely disappointed we don’t get a high profile artist.

I believe it's been said before, but what happens in the movie verse has NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on the comics. Don't know why you keep conflating the two.
Also, Taylor's remarks about the setting being about 30 years in the future was posted in this discussion.

Yeah, let's give the book a chance.

I'd be surprised if it became a factor, given that they could just pull out some smartypants doctor to solve the problem if they want to and that the sliding timescale will probably prevent the characters from aging far enough for it to become a problem.

I read the discussion couldn't really spot anything mentioning the time. Aside from that sorry about mixing things up and especially two different universes. I was just trying to project something but all in all lets focus on the X-men comic universe (XCU)

I found it pretty easily. It was his response to Cody Crutchfield’s question.

Thanks I have seen now.
My reaction to it is pretty simple. I actully liked what he did with this character and I thought he knew what he was doing with the character but after jumping just 30 yrs kinda exposed him as someone not quite sure what he was doing because it was barely the future. I don't think he had any clue with this thing. I honestly liked everything else he did accept the time-line 30-years back-fires on the entire story-line.
For once I'm happy Tamaki is her to take over. I won't mind her going with the same story-line and changing the time-line into 70-years atleast and I have no issues with the clone issues and her potential death but just not 30-years after her prime. It's a no-brainer. Aside from that I think Tamaki should keep Laura queen.
Plus she will get the chance to fill up a bigger gap if she sets the time-line as 70-years atleast and get rid of Maria hill entirely she was an unnecessary cameo

I think this whole Old Woman Laura story is going to be a one off. I highly doubt it’ll ever come up in Tamaki’s book. Her stories will be set in the present.
