Villain looks cool though. A clone of Black Bolt perhaps?
The artist mentioned that the idea was to have it look like Ahura's Earth X look. Earth 9997 never appeared in Secret Wars, and the idea of global Terrigenisis kinda came from that story. I don't think it's a coincidence.

I honestly thought Marvel was doing some weird earth X meets 616 story, cause as you mentioned the Terrigian spread came from that, it also had a female Thor, and an old Steve Rogers.

There was also the heroic Loki and baby Hulk. It was almost like Ross and Krueger could see the future.

Good call on the Earth X nod. I hadn't even considered that.

If they use this to kill off all the named nuhumans (Reader, Iso, Naja, Swain etc. Not talking about Moon Girl or Ms Marvel) I'm going to be pissed. It serves no purpose when you could just leave them in limbo.
If this is just about killing off unnamed nuhumans so that the Inhumans overall status quo will go back to pre-terrigen cloud I'll be fine with it. But don't kill all the characters I've grown to love because some other fanbases who aren't even going to read this arbitrarily decided to hate them.

I imagine it isn't just the royal family going for revenge otherwise the solicitation would have said the royal family instead of "the last of his people". The enemy is Vox and some group of kree or possibly the full kree army. I think a sizable amount of Inhumans will go. Plus if the "join or die" message is to legit then there will be prisoners. I think Vox is just the big boss for what is going to be a kree vs Inhumans war.

I doubt it's about pleasing the haters and more about trying to solidify the concept more. The Nuhumans basically diluted the entire premise of the Inhumans into something more mundane. Royals was a good attempt to recenter the focus on the royal family (as it should be), but right now they're left with a bunch of NuHumans who basically serve no function. With the two big exceptions of Ms. Marvel and Moon Girl (whose connections to the Inhuman lore are tangental at best), none of the Nuhumans really caught on.
Note: I don't actually want them killed off. I'm not a fan of stories where D-listers are brought out of limbo just to be slaughtered. I hated it when Marvel did it with Decimation, I hated it when DC did it with the Titans massacre in Infinite Crisis, and I'll probably hate it here. But if it does happen, I can see why Marvel is doing it. I'm speculating we will get a new, royal-focused Inhumans title spinning out of this.

I don't think it was mundane, but they didn't really do much with them after Inhumanity really. They just set them up to take off, but they never continued what they set up to do, which was (in my opinion) create a new status quo, and make new stories. But it was just "Infinity", "Inhumanity", "IVX", "Civil War II" and "Death of Inhumans." There are hidden cities that aren't Attilan on Earth, and they've existed for millenia, and plus, the Attilaneans aren't the only Inhumans in existance. They had a great concept. It was like when they first appeared. A hidden race living amongst humans that have been exposed and have to deal with the consequences. And what did they do? Have an "event" called "RessureXion" only to kill them months later. I guess we'll have to see who they kill. Inhumans are a species, so I don't see anything wrong with them existing in large quantities. And the relation Ms Marvel and Moon Girl is that they are victims of the Terrigen Bomb, and have to chose how to go about their powers. If they were mutants it's almost 90% sure that they would have to be written into stories that exclusively deal with mutant affairs and would probably join an X-team. Now, they do get involved in Inhuman issues, but they aren't being that tied down to them. I'm just glad that they're at least getting an interesting looking villain. Lash was O.K., and they had to move past Maximus. The Kree are back as the villains. Again.

Someone mentioned what if the Death of the Inhumans is prelude to a Kree/skrull war. Chris Arrant an editor at Newsarama said he can neither confirmed or deny. It could be nothing and it be completely unrelated to the Inhumans. Still I feel is worth mentioning. With the whole join or die angle, this mini could actually end with the Inhumans enslaved by the kree and actually used for a war.

Hmm...given the Captain Marvel movie will also touch on the Kree/Skrull War, I'm wondering if this will all lead up to a tie-in?

Would this be the Kree/Skrull War III or IV? I remember a War of the Three Galaxies in Inhumans Vol. 1 as well.

It would be really interesting if they did a story where the Inhumans are finally used as the Kree soldiers as the Kree initially intended. Is there any older stories that did this which I'm forgetting?

Yes. The Kree captured and used them against the Shi'ar in the 2000 Inhumans series. It's a great read, but they only used the royals. If they used them as an army, that would definitely be interesting.

How canon is that though?
