Jeen doesn't believe in bisexuality. You're either straight or "full gay" to her.
Not sure if this quote really says anything. I mean, Ororo was never actually shown as bisexual on the page. It's great that's how Claremont sees it but it's just his interpretation.
I don't think anyone has REALLY been shown to be sexual in superhero comics. They might be in bed together, but no explicit details are shown, so it's always up to interpretation.
Considering Marvel's classical stance on same-gendered pairings during the Comics Code days, and Claremont's own words, I think this case is closed!

I hope Marvel reveals her to be bisexual.
Just so that I rejoice in the tears of some Storm fans, it would be glorious. I can see it now... :o
This isn't about her future. This is about the indisputable wealth of evidence, which already exists, that she is bisexual. Is it because of her public "showers"?

That's an interesting angle. Storm's indifference to sharing showers with her male teammates could be construed as another sign. As well as her ignorance of her beauty and the effect it may have on her 'brothers' in those earliest of days.

You would need XXX scenes to have actual proof.

Great post. I love it.
That's his take on it with Storm and Yukio. There was nothing going on save for friendship. Storm is straight. She's only been in a relationships with guys, she has only shown romantic interests in guys. Arkon, Forge, Dr. Doom, Black Panther, Slipstream, and (ugh, for this last one!) Wolverine are all proof of this.
You would need XXX scenes to have actual proof.
A kiss on the mouth is likely nowhere to be found. Yukio's caresses that were posted count as signs. I was just kidding about the public showers. But some could interpret that has a group sex invite. I want some evidence that's all.
Storm is straight. She's only been in a relationships with guys, she has only shown romantic interests in guys. Arkon, Forge, Dr. Doom, Black Panther, Slipstream, and (ugh, for this last one!) Wolverine are all proof of this.
So Iceman is straight, too? Has he ever been in a relationship with a guy?
The whole thing about Storm being naked around her male teammates had nothing to do with sexuality as it was presented as a difference in cultural. For instance, in one of the early Uncanny X-Men issues, she went for a swim in the mansion pool naked. When the guys came out to the pool, she did not understand what was wrong with being naked nor was she even aware of the affect she was having on them. Xavier was astounded at this realization as it showed a lack of understanding of western culture on her part.

True but I'll continue to tweet him.
So Iceman is straight, too? Has he ever been in a relationship with a guy?
No, but Marvel established that he was gay in canon. What you are saying is apples and oranges in trying to compare him to Ororo in this regard. There is a sect of the Storm fandom who wants Storm to be bisexual and they will try and fit that ideology anywhere. We have never seen Storm say that she has romantic feelings for a woman, we have never seen her go out on a romantic date with a woman, she has never been in a relationship with a woman, but she has an impressive list of guys she has either expressed romantic feelings for or dated. She even married a guy.
No, but Marvel established that he was gay in canon. What you are saying is apples and oranges in trying to compare him to Ororo in this regard.
That's teen Iceman.
People still change.
That's teen Iceman.

This is a good point. Lemire may not keep adult Iceman gay. He may say that Bobby was just going through a phase in his teenage years. Who knows? Many people experiment with bisexuality in their youth (especially college years) and leave that behind them after college. I mean, he said something to the effect of reconciling Teenaged-Bobby's sexuality to Adult-Bobby, right? Maybe this is what he means to do or maybe he will keep him gay. Again, who knows?
Edit: Thinking about it, it may be foolish to assume that adult Iceman is gay. If Lemire intends to simply make adult Bobby gay, then there would be nothing to really reconcile here save keep him gay like they do with Northstar.
I already said you don't have to prove she dated men. We all know that. Only post or discuss evidence she slept or is attracted to women.
And Iceman has his own thread.
Frank Tieri's response to RLAAMJR lol
btw let's rmeember Tieri is a writer from Marvel who has written canon stories about Storm, building off what Claremont already established. Who are you? No one.

That's nice now where's this decades worth of evidence? I am not disputing it if Marvel declares her bi. I want to know how that conclusion's been reached by some. You can complain about rlaamjr in Storm's appreciation thread.
Deleted post...
RLAAMJR, Frank Tieri obviously reads some kind of sexual relationship between Ororo and Yukio. I would not tweet him anymore about it. He gave you his take on it. That said, it doesn't mean everyone at Marvel agrees with him. Again, till this day, Storm has never dated women nor has she stated any romantic interest in women, etc. In other words, not all writers agree with what this writers said. He's entitled to his opinion just like everybody else is.

He wrote the scene where Storm kisses a woman at the Hellfire club during the Axis event.

He wrote an official canon X-men story for Marvel. His opinions actually matters. Marvel DOES NOT make official declarations on every characters sexuality, how ridiculous to suggest that. Frank Tieri did not introduce anything new.

It still could be 50 people and you still would look scared of a bisexual Storm.
Basing on how K-Kitsune uses the word...

Of course it is ridiculous idea that Marvel make official statements on every character's sexuality.
It still could be 50 people and you still would look scared of a bisexual Storm.
Where's the 48?
There's nothing wrong with having a bisexual Storm.
But it's wrong saying that she is when she isn't.
I'd be fine if people would say she might be but saying she really is or it's confirmed, then that's the problem.
Storm is totes bi. It's canon. Deal with it.
Oh dear God, I suppose it was only a matter of time before someone started a thread like this. I've seen the people who will fight to the death to claim that Storm is 100% hetero and the levels of reaching they'll use to explain away her relationship with Yukio and I am not going to get involved in this.
Well you have to understand they want to convince everyone of her sexuality.Hard part is if it was so clear as it is to them we would not have all these varying opinions and views.

For years, Storm remained single. "There is no man, really, in the Marvel universe who's good enough for her, who is her equal," Claremont thought in The X-Men Companion. "She would not be taking a step down by falling in love with the Black Panther, perhaps. John Byrne and I toyed with the idea of having her get into a relationship with Scott Summers or start to, but unfortunately I've really kind of done that with Misty Knight and Danny Rand (Iron Fist). (...) Part of my antipathy toward the Black Panther is that I don't have any control over him as a character, and I don't want Storm suddenly showing up in other books, waltzing out with the Black Panther."
"There were relationships that I felt transcended gender," Claremont told Seriejournalen.dk. "Storm and Yukio is something that I never really got into. I mean, I had my own thoughts, but I never really got into it."
Claremont's words is not enough we need every single person who enters the marvel building to say yes before we believe! (Sarcasm)
For goodness sake. She's a fictional character.
Yes it is his take and his take matters! I just can't stand people projecting their beliefs on a fictional character. She is, even Hudlin knew it. T'challa isn't a stupid man he was insecure for a valid reason.
