Watched Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman again. I have to say, I actually enjoyed MoS much more this time around and didn't quite enjoy BVS as much I remember. I thought the MoS movie had a great blend of both worlds, with Krypton's technology being showcased, Jor-El's action scenes and the Kryptonian tech used on earth. Really cool visuals.
Watching BVS again, however, I noticed how much the story was very flawed in quite a few ways. Lex acted more insane than diabolical. Almost "Jokerish". Outside the fight scene between Bats and Supes, and the fight between them and WW against Doomsday, this movie wasn't as good the second time around. The saving grace really to me was Batman's scenes and the battles.

More than a few people thought the same thing...that the actor wasn't bad, just that he wasn't doing Lex Luthor, he was doing the Riddler or something.

"Rogue One". It was mostly entertaining. I thought it was slightly better than Force Awakens.
"Sing". It was ok. I wish Ash could have sung an actual pop-punk song, but whatever.

Fools Rush In
So Perry was building a Night Club
Hanks was a contractor in Sleepless and was building a Fox Books in You've Got Mail,
Michael J Fox designed a Hotel in For Love Or Money
Jon Stewart was building something in Playing By Heart
And Michelle Pfeiffer was an architect in One Fine Day
I think I have discovered the key to a great RomCom

Stranger than Fiction (2006)
A fascinating story, more enjoyable than I thought I would find it.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017)
It made me laugh, so I'm glad it's not a boring movie.

I'm of the same opinion. I just had a blast watching it. The first 10 minutes were kinda confusing though, it could have been edited in a more pleasant fashion but well, watcha gonna do?

There's a Girl in my soup- Peter Sellars and Goldie Hawn.

The Infiltrator (2016)
Could have been better, but it's enjoyable. To think that a movie succeeded in breaking my heart over the arrest of a drug crime lord when the protagonist is someone you cheer for... that's quite the accomplishment.

Remember the titans
Best sports movie ever imo.

I've been watching all the Tarzan movies in chronological order and I'm up to the Johnny Weissmuller period. When I was a kid, our local TV station showed all these movies in the afternoon on Saturdays. Just got finished watching TARZAN AND HIS MATE (1934). My gosh so much pulse-pounding action--this is one of the most exciting movies there is--and no CGI. It's pre-code so there's a generous amount of skin being shown--including one underwater scene with Jane and Tarzan that is very sexy and beautiful.
The direction is credited to Cedric Gibbons, but this is the only movie where he has directing credits. He was the art director on this and hundreds of other movies, silent pictures and talkies--including SINGING IN THE RAIN. Uncredited direction is from James C. McKay who was mostly active in the silent era.
It's too bad that they didn't expand Tarzan's vocabulary as these movies progressed. In the first movie--TARZAN THE APE MAN--it's reasonable he can't speak English. But after a year with Jane, you'd think he'd learn more of her language. It makes him look a bit stupid. But granted, for her part, Jane didn't learn much Ape English or she'd have a better communication with Cheeta. However, maybe handing most of the dialogue to Jane gives Maureen O'Sullivan a greater role. These movies could be called "The Jane Parker Chronicles" given she's the true protagonist (with Cheeta being almost as important).
That's a good way to tell these stories, as we know that Tarzan is a virtual Superman and he's never in any real danger. Jane, on the other hand, doesn't have all his skills. Nor is she completely at home in the jungle. So her character is in greater jeopardy. Comic book movies should follow this example and develop the regular folks in the movies, rather than de-powering the super-heroes.

Unlocked: Staring Noomi Rapace. It's about an ex CIA operative who lives in the UK and works as a spy for MI6 (at the start of the story she works at a center that helps out new immigrants). As the story progresses she gets sucked back in to do a special job for MI6 because of her unique talents. But doesn't want to because of a mistake that she made which led to a tragedy. The story is in the vein of the spy with demons who tries to make up for their past. But I found it a bit less predictable than usual. It was also made enjoyable due to the acting and the setting. Those who enjoyed the BBC MI6/Spooks series might like it.

Took son to see Lego Ninjago. Wasnt a fan but he really liked it. Funny thing i watch the show with him and i like it but the movie throws all that out the window
Just watched bad Batch on Netflix.... WTF. First off i like Jason Mamoa but he does a Cuban Accent that sounds like every bad scarface imprrssion you have ever heard. Why they stuck with it iono. The movie is long but has almost no plot. There is a 10minute scene where the protagonist trips balls and stares at the stars lol. jim Carry doesnt speak a word, Diego Luna is almost im the same boat but atleast Carey has something to do. Iono how i feel about the movie yet. Gotta let it stew but i know for sure i didnt love it.
