Ghostbusters (2016) - Wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but not very good either.
Star Trek Beyond - Quite liked it. A bit formulaic but still good.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Definitely not as much fun as the first Jurassic World. There were some pacing problems, IMO.
Ant-man and The Wasp. It was pretty good, although some of the humor from the supporting cast felt forced. The mid-credits scene cracked me up, though. Although I’m not sure that was the intention.
A Quiet Place- 9/10. A beautifully executed sci-fi thriller elevated by the combination of an interesting, original premise and some really wonderful performances.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado- 8/10. Honestly kind of a letdown compared to not only the first Sicario, but the rest of movies screenwriter Tyler Sheridan had been responsible for up to this point. That said, the first half/ two-thirds of the film is solid, and the standout performances from Benecio del Toro, Josh Brolin and Isabela Moner really make up for what I felt was a lackluster finale that seemed more like a forced (maybe even studio mandated) attempt at franchise building than anything.
At the movies: Oceans 8 - 7.5 out of 10. Generally underwhelmed by the franchise but this was fun. Good concept and cast.
At home: Now You see Me 2 - 6.5 out of 10. Some great moments, but ran out of steam at the end. Great cast though.
Ant Man and the Wasp. I enjoyed it as much as the first.
The Last Jedi (4th time). Yeah, some weak moments, etc., but I am interested in how they will wrap up the story next movie.
Justice League (3rd time). It's still not great to me, but it's okay.
A couple of weeks ago I re-watched the first two Vacation movies and watched The Goonies for the first time. Last week I re-watched Big Trouble in Little China for the second time after catching the last half of the movie on local station WTOV-9 back in the late 80s one weekend afternoon.
You had never seen The Goonies before???????? Whoa.
So, what did you think?
Justice League. Just not very good. I could see what they were trying for. but it never completely gelled for me. I liked MoS and BvS, but this was just weak.
Finally got around to watching The Dark Tower ....... why. Just why? This movie was a mess. As someone who has read the book it pissed me off sure, but as just a fan of movies in general it pissed me off more. How this mess ever got made with the talent attached is just baffling to me. And 95 minutes?!? They tried to do a Steven King book in 95 minutes?!? WTF!?!
Finally saw The Human Centipede (First Sequence). Basically a mad scientist kidnaps a man and two woman and then surgically attaches the mouth of the first woman to the anus of the man and attaches the mouth of the
second woman to the anus of the first woman. There is some nudity if that sort of thing bothers you.
I saw Skyscraper today.
Yesterday I watched Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Hellboy.

And.......?
Shrek, on Netflix. I had never seen the movie until last night. It was pretty good.
