Galactus: The Devourer 1-6 and Silver Surfer/Thor '98 Annual, I'd guess. Seems like a respectable amount of content

Silver Surfer: Parable 30th Anniversary Oversized Edition

Almost the size of a DC Absolute? Bummer, I'd rather it stayed in scale with an OMNI/OHC.
That dampens my enthusiasm and causes my OCD to flair cause now they can't sit comfortably next to each other in chronological manner on the shelf.

Astounded this is getting a reprint, and concerned that I believe this is the first volume (I don't count Gunslinger 2 book slipcase is an exception) to hit $150 MSRP. I would hate to see that price point normalize. https://www.hachettebookgroup.biz/titles/marvel-comics/golden-age-marvel-comics-omnibus-vol-1/9781302918972/

Yes, very strange. $150 is just stir crazy especially as there will be no faux leather cover and cheap thinner paper. I really can't fathom the reasoning behind having this reprinted.
It took a while for the original printing to go OOP. I managed to pick it up when it was going at deep clearance.

Why do I have marked on my calendar that the Silver Surfer Omnibus by Dan slott was coming out this week? I looked it up and now it says December.

I'm not sure why it's so expensive. It's not even up to 900 pages

As bob/.schoonover said there is still a respectable amount of content in the final Epic Collection of Silver Surfer. The last eight issues of and the Annual and the Galactus limited series.
Anyways i think it´s cool that one of the next Epic collection numbers will have the majority of the J.M.DeMatteis run collected.
And the other Silver Surfer Epic collections already available especially issue 3,6 and 7 are other must buys to me besides this new one.It seems that in the Silver Surfer the Epic Collections books are picking up great runs of Silver Surfer.I will be skpiping just the first issue of Silver Surfer Epic collection because i will want to have the stories of Fantastic Four rather collected in sequence in the Omnibus format of Fantastic Four.

Oh boy. Do we have another possible immediate cancellation on our hands there? I’m assuming that there‘s some racially sensitive content (by today‘s standards) in there as well.

A reprint cause they are likely to solicit a volume 2 as well?

IST has it with the first batch of "Coming soon" releases i.e. it should appear on their website today as a new release.

Thanks Raffi, it's up now.

No joke, I got the first print hardcover a month ago on eBay XD
I will probably upgrade it. I really like this storyline and oversized Moebius artwork is always a good choice.

Back in 2009, the Golden Age Marvel Comics Omnibus had a higher price point ($125) than other Omnis at the time ($100 tops). Reproduction costs?
It was a few years later in 2011 I believe when Omnis started hitting $125 (XStatix, Jim Lee X-Men, etc)
I got my Golden Age Omni for $37 new on Amazon in 2012. $150 is wild.
