Not sure if this has been discussed or not but why does uncanny x-men omnibus 4 have such a bad binding? It’s almost as bad as having it glued, especially when you compare it to previous omnibus. Is this a one off or are all the marvel omnis like this now? Not the end of the world or anything but kinda annoying looking at the prices marvel charge atm. Was going to flip my inferno ohc for the new omni but don’t think I’ll bother now.

The exact quality of the bindings on new releases vary somewhat, but yes, they're consistently inferior to older printings.

Wow that’s sad. The cheap cardboard cover, thin paper, poor binding, comber some to read, take up more space, reprints take years and even more expensive now. if I didn’t have nearly all the x-omni collected already I’d definitely go the epic, masterwork or floppy route to collecting.

All last omnibuses have this binding, good have Excalibur and X-men Claremont/Lee vol.1 and this is probably last book with good binding, vol.2 has that "bad binding", paper is the same that was 2 years ago at least in this books that are printed in R.R. Donnelley China.
This epics are too worse quality I wonder if they can do this with more thinner paper.
For example I have 3 volumes of trades Hickman's Avengers, and in first paper is white (Lcs printer) and in 2 and 3 paper isn't event white, it is grey or something (Fry printer)
And now they make book with 700+ pages with glue binding (X of Swords)

Is the Claremont/Lee omni v2 finally coming out today?

X of Swords is glued? Disappointing.

The Daredevil Epic Collection Vol 16 will include that absolutely awful event "Dead Man's Hand" which crossed over in Nomad #4-6 and Punisher War Journal #45-47. I collected all those issues in order to read the complete story. Only a diehard DD fan would do that, as the story was extremely bad and in particular the art in the Daredevil issues. The only plus was Pat Olliffe's art in the Nomad issues which was pretty good IIRC. Of course, being the DD Collections completist, I'll still be picking this Epic up, even though I have all the floppies.

Happy to get another pre-Simonson Thor Epic.

It's Amazing how much more money Marvel gets from me than DC despite my actual preference.
