Just finished Book Two of Peter Davids Supergirl. And its amazing. Highly recommended if you're a Supergirl fan, and dont mind some magical elements.
Book Four has the solicits for Book Three, which is #21-32 and the 1million issue. So Book 4 will likely include #33- 42(or 43) and maybe the Supergirl + Power of Shazam special. Well get Book 4 by January, and Book One was released in October of last year. Getting through 40 issues in a little over a year is pretty impressive. Very pleased with the pacing of these.
I'm holding out for an Omni of this run like I am for the Flash by Waid.

True but this might actually make it, since there's a TV show.

Agreed.

Not sure if that'll ever happen. But maybe.

If an omnibus for Flash or Supergirl happens I think it's still years away since DC hasn't wrapped up the tpb collections. I don't think it's inconceivable to get a Waid omnibus. Whether SG warrants one - no matter how good the stories - remains to be seen.

I would love an omni, I had given up on even getting the trades so had it bound, but really a run that needs to be omni form. Such an amazing run that has been uncollected for far far to long.

The Flash by Waid will probably get an Omni. Probably around 2020 if I had to guess. SG by PAD is less likely. But who knows.

Here's the thing, if they're not supported *now,* we'll never see omnibus books of these series. We know DC will cancel tpb book collections mid series, most recently Sandman Myster Theater, due to low sales. If the tpb line fails, why would they ever publish a more expensive book?
Unfortunately, we need to support these tpb releases in order to ever have a chance a seeing an omnibus of the material. I'd love a couple Waid Flash omnibus books, but we'll never get there if no one buys the trades

I totally understand that. I'm not new to this.
Unfortunately, my financial ability to keep flipping formats is at an end. Got married two years ago. Moved into a new house where the mortgage is twice what I was paying AND my first child is on the way in September.
I'm going to ride the backs of those who can still flip, I've done my share of it, and just hope for the best. Besides, I've got a bit of backlog of "to be read" as it stands now.

I'm carrying you so hard, my friend. Lol. Thats why I enjoy telling people, hey this book is dope! So hopefully they buy it and maybe it'll be rereleased in a more prestige format. I dont need every run to be an omni or HC. I enjoy a good book in any format, as long as its well built.

Sorry, I wasn't specifically targeting you or insinuating you were new. You've been around here just about as long as I have, if not longer haha.
But I get it. I was just stating general facts. I couldn't do it before, and it's a little hard/annoying to do it now, but it's the way the game is played unfortunately.

HAWKWORLD!!!!a
Still waiting for Vol. 4 of Flash by Geoff Johns TPBs.
So Wonder Woman by Byrne is out next week. Can anyone confirm what this actually is? Amazon lists it as a hardcover, standard size. I've seen it listed elsewhere as a paperback.
If anyone comes across it I would really appreciate some more info! I hope it's not another Batman and the Outsiders.
