DC is definitely going to reprint a corrected JLI Omnibus Vol 1, but I don't know anymore specfics than that. I still haven't checked mine to see if it was errored, but hope to do so tonight. I assume so, and the negative Amazon reviews are increasing.
But DC saw the BCool article and will correct it.
Are the problems so bad that it is worth sending back and probably (knowing speedyhen) having to pay an extra £10 for it (I think there was a glitch on their website and I managed to get it for £46, price now is £55)

I can't decide for you are they "so bad that..." Missing text and out of order pages are dealbreakers for me at least.
Here is one Amazon reviewer's summary of errors he found:
The two pages placed out of order (638 and 639) are the worst. The missing text from a word balloon (267) is bad enough. The ridiculous decision (or non-decision) to leave one of the "bonus books" right in the middle of issue 18 and completely interrupt the flow of the story (starting on page 556) is at least frustrating. The many mistaken, misattributed, or left-out-entirely credits are perplexing. (Maybe a table of contents in a 1000-page book would help the editors, not to mention the readers, keep things straight?) . . . To make matters worse, there's actually another page with missing text (245). Unbelievable!
That is a lot of errors in one book I could understand if one piece of text was missing, but several missing texts and mixed up pages is a huge mistake for a book that expensive. Hopefully DC steps up and corrects this.

I heard from DC personally and they will, it seems with a second printing (and not a replacement program). That's all I know. I know my LCS owner pledged to replace mine for free (me being a big customer).
Because they hate Mark Waid and want to erase him from DC history. Look how long they let his Flash run sit and even when it does get collected its paperback form.
Ha ha ... well I know he isn't super popular over in DC land but they did collect his JLA stuff in tpb at the time, and they have recently released his Year One and MidSummer's Nightmare in OHC. Maybe they've mended some bridges.
I've never been a fan of leaving out issues solely because they aren't by a specific author. For example, Marvel's Frank Miller DD collection when they left out issue # 162.

I don't think so, but that's me.
One Guy Gardner word balloon is missing and it changes nothing. There's a "bonus book" that offers little that's left out and then there are two pages out of order (you probably won't even notice because the story sucked anyway).
Now, I say that, citing only those three complaints. Maybe there are more and it is worth sending back.
I'm not really a fan of the whole series, though, which I admit. I thought it started off great but went to **** around issue # 20 or so. And Justice League Europe is just godawful. I think the big problem is that the creators were telling great stories that had natural humor in them. And at some point, they felt like they had to make it funny. And that's where it fails.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
I've read others who loves this series and it's pure blasphemy that the mistakes occurred. Also, it's an expensive book if you pay full price, so I understand folks being upset.
To me, however, it wasn't a big deal.

Yeah, I think I may leave it

It’s rediculous these mistakes occur. For me reading about the issues, I will keep mine. I got it for a decent price and it’s more a blind buy for me. I can see people returning theirs though.

Hey! That's fun to see my Amazon review quoted here. I thought quite a bit about what to write to convey my disappointment.
I can also understand people just not caring about a few mistakes. It doesn't really change the book as a whole. But for somebody like me who already owns the floppies, the hardcovers and the digital files, it's really frustrating for what should be the definitive edition to have these mistakes. More than that though, it makes me feel silly for taking a lot of pride in my comics collection. I mean, if it were my carelessness that caused thousands of these to be distributed to fans, I would be mortified. DC, on the other hand, says, "Eh, we'll fix it for the next one." The presentation of their classic stories just needs to be good enough, I suppose. So then why do I spend thousands of dollars a year collecting them? Good question. I read them for enjoyment, but that doesn't mean I have to collect them. But I think they're special, they're important, they're part of a unique and wonderful medium. Either all that, or they're not worth a few hours of final proofing. They're not worth getting just right. They're not worth taking a lot of pride in. To me, that's the message DC is sending, and it kind of ruins things a bit.
Tl;dr: I have an unhealthy relationship with comic books.

People have already told you that there is more than one instance of word balloons missing all of the text.

I totally understand your disappointment, and I agree that it's really unfortunate that these mistakes happened. HOWEVER, I am just so happy to have this run in omnibus format, and the mistakes didn't have any detriment to my enjoyment as I read through the content for the first time. What also elevated it for me beyond the oversized art is that I believe it's the first time JLI has been collected on high quality non-newsprint paper stock. So that was a joy to see.

Just got an email from Amazon to say that my Knightfall omnibus won't be arriving today because they are still trying to obtain it, like, don't bloody advertise it... BD and SH seem to be out but Wordery has it for an extra £10. Decisions! I will probably just wait for Amazon, I mean it won't go OOP too quickly, surely? Plus, I haven't seen as much excitement about it as I expected to so maybe not that many people even want it

Yeah they are starting to collect his stuff which is nice. They need to fully mend that bridge and get him on Nightwing or a Superman book.

I just saw this - Batman & Robin By Peter Tomasi & Patrick Gleason Omnibus.
Has anyone read this story, and have the omnibus? Few reviews shows good quality, thick paper and they say it's one of the best (must have) Batman and Robin stories.
Thanks,

It's discussed all throughout this thread.
