So true....Don't get me wrong...I really enjoyed the story but it seemed super short by the time it was over.
I enjoyed Master Race for the most part. What bothers me about it is that it no longer feels like it takes place in the same universe as the original. The not-too-distant-future setting seems to has vanished completely,
and now that Batman is youthful again thanks to the Lazarus Pit, the most intriguing "Elseworlds" element of the Dark Knight is gone.
The annuals have Waverider show up, see a hero's future, realize they are not Monarch, and leave. None of the annuals are vital to the Waverider/Monarch storyline, and one annual directly contradicts the end of the story. The contradiction is because the original planned ending was leaked, so a new ending was quickly written.
There were two followup minis. One followed Waverider as he freed the JSA and the other followed Captain Atom fighting Monarch as they travel through time.
Those two mini should be in. If they were, this would be an excellent little book for an oft maligned, but actually pretty good mini in Zero Hour

Okay, this is messed up! DC has all of the other Batman books coming out in Deluxe format containing issues 1-15 for $17.50 but they're only printing All Star Batman in regular HC format. Here's the messed up part. The first volume is issues 1-5 and the second volume is 6-9. Both books combined will be $35 for nine issues! What the heck DC?? *smh*
Needless to say, I'm not buying the AS Batman collection until they come out in Deluxe format or omni.

I agree. You can skip the annuals, but the 2 minis should be included.

Its Scott Snyder on Batman, it'll get a dlx HC once all the issues Are out. They want to milk it to forever, even if it is mediocre.

The Deluxes are $35 (aren't they?). Or are you factoring in discounts? And if so, who's giving a 50% discount??
I'd have preferred an Armageddon 2001 omnibus & a Zero Hour Omnibus. I would have bought those in a heartbeat.
Such a frustrating, missed opportunity here. I never thought I'd see either of these events in HC to begin with, but if they're collecting them like this, I'd just as soon they didn't do it at all.
There are several ways they could do two separate collections and do both series justice.

Yeah exactly they are going to milk as much money out of Snyder as possible. A deluxe will come probably collecting whole series, I would not be shocked if they got an absolute at some point down the line.

Couldn't agree more. The whole premise was that he was older...more broken down...and had to work a whole lot harder.
Now, they just start over.
hope this is OHC and not normal HC:
Justice Society of America: The Complete Series by Len Strazewski and Mike Parobeck

Also the kirby revival series will be in TPB except for Kamandi Challenge!
I wish they do one HC or OHC with Kamandi Chalenge, the new MR Miracle, Bug (adventures of forager) and Kirby 100 issues all in same book!! :(
and also this one:

To be fair, this is DC. The solicit contents could be wrong and they may still end up in!
I just wish there was the DC equivalent of someone these things could be raised with like with how people raise things with Marvel editors at the MMW boards

This is slowly becoming my dream job. Honestly. Mingle with fans online and seeing what they want collected. Plus, they know all the issues and titles that are part of cross over and story arcs. The work is already done!

I'm crossing my fingers that this is the case. Otherwise we probably won't get another shot at more comprehensive Zero Hour or Armageddon 2001 collections...

At Edelweiss's website, Zero Hour/Armageddon 2001: The Deluxe Edition had its name changed to just Zero Hour:

The product description hasn't changed so far, but I suspect DC gave up on collecting both minis together. Maybe they figured an Armageddon 2001 omnibus would be a better idea.
