Here's a good video showing off the book. It truly is a massive tome.
Also, Gabe from the video works at a comic shop and apparently has heard of an upcoming Death of the Family Absolute and American Vampire Omnibus, from Snyder himself. Nothing official yet but be on the lookout.
This would make sense in that DC will probably reprint that Snyder Batman run (or most of it) in every format possible.
I'd jump all over an American Vampire omnibus.
So I am reading through the Grayson Omnibus and am somewhat confused they did not include Nightwing # 30. Seems like a complete oversight not to include it.
It's recapped, but yeah, for the sake of one issue, it is an oversight.
Did anyone get Fourth World Omnibus? What about the content and quality?
Still on the fence about getting it. I keep hearing conflicting opinions here about it.

Still waiting it for it to arrive so cannot speak to the quality of the book, but the content is excellent classic Jack Kirby great art work and ideas mixed in with some cheesy dialogue.

Trying to avoid the obvious "that's what she said jokes" jokes. Recommend then?

Amazon's initial contents list for the Batman by Morrison Omnibus is mostly underwhelming:
Collects BATMAN #655-658 and #663-683, stories from 52 #30 and#47 and DC Universe #0.
However, it still lists the page count at 1000, so I assume the contents has not been locked down entirely yet (I suppose it could include 300 pages of notes from Grant Morrison and some sketches ;)). Here's hoping for *something* more.

It's on my read pile. I'll get to it maybe during Christmas. But I figure at 72 bucks it wouldn't get any cheaper, and I can always flip it, but I've read parts of what's included and have liked them so I don't see why I'll dislike this one

This is interesting. Anyone have any rough idea on when well get the actual solicit for this book? Not like the official solicits are 100% accurate anymore....

This is a good start. I do think the contents haven't been pinned down yet. The inclusion of "stories from 52 #30 and#47" is really fantastic.

It's certainly nice to see both 52 issues listed. The reading experience through the end of RIP proper will be really complete (well, except the Resurrection crossover, but you can't have everything). I guess we'll see in a few months how the post-RIP contents shake out. I know you're a big publication order proponent, but if they don't toss in Final Crisis in some fashion, they're going to have to put the RIP Missing Chapters in earlier or nothing will make sense. I still have faith FC will appear in this volume somehow . . .

I'm really curious, which conflicting opinions? I'm not a specialist so I'm sure there's something interesting to learn.
IMHO it's an incredible book. My only criticism so far is that it's so big that it's hard to fully enjoy the double splash pages at the middle of the run - as the classic Metron Reaching The Promethean Galaxy in NG #5. And I can deal with that.;)

Don't know what they will do. I have custom bound this run and from how slim my Vol 2 was (with just B&R,RoBW, 700-702), there is somewhat of a perhaps small chance they might push FC or its summary to Vol 2. But I'd bet against that I think. It's Vol 1 or nothing probably. They will probably throw in more extras if any volumes seem too slim.

Let me put it this way; if there were two versions, one like they put out with word-balloons and one with no words, I'd pick the one with no words.
