I would like deluxe editions for Northlanders (most of the trades are OOP) and The Unwritten. There are some rumors about that?
I think Northlanders was maybe not popular enough for a series of Deluxes, but it would be perfect for an Omnibus, but I would bet a lot that we will get The Unwritten Deluxes as soon as DMZ and Invisibles are finished.
However, I would gladly buy both series in whatever OHC format they would appear.

How many issues did Hellblazer run for? And in the very unlikely event we ever get so HC action, how many deluxes/omnis would that be?
It ran for 300 issues not including spin-offs and specials. So that would be a lot of books.
Let's say they did 40 issues per volume: 7.5 Omnis, add in the specials etc and let's call it 8 Omni sized volumes
50 issue Omni's are quite large, depending on paper thickness but I think if I've gauged reaction from Omni fans it's that at a certain point they become unwieldily.
My cursory and anecdotal input is that 40 issues, +/- a few, is a pretty good sized OMNI and much more manageable.

They would probably base the issue number on the creative teams involved (so the first omni would collect Delano's run, the second Ennis's etc.). But yeah, about 40 a piece would be ideal.

Can anyone confirm whether or not this is oversized format, please?

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought it was regular sized.

Not oversized. The only oversized one is the one from 2012.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. The 2012 deluxe seemed to shoot up in price quickly, despite some negative word of mouth on that edition.
Unfortunately, it looks like the hardcover/movie set of Year One due out in September is also standard size, but I could be wrong about that.

I would break it down like this

Hellblazer Omnibus, Vol. 1 (#1-40, Delano)
Hellblazer Omnibus, Vol. 2 (#41-84, Ennis)
Hellblazer Omnibus, Vol. 3 (#85-128, Jenkins)
Hellblazer Omnibus, Vol. 4 (#129-174, Ellis & Azzarello)
Hellblazer Omnibus, Vol. 5 (#175-215, Carey)
Hellblazer Omnibus, Vol. 6 (#216-250, Mina & Diggle)
Hellblazer Omnibus, Vol. 7 (#250-300, Milligan)
Throw in the annuals, min-series, specials and shorts and each of these ends up around 1200 pages.
And despite that TomSlick wouldn't recommend anything from Morrison except Animal Man (which is good but IMHO the art is quite bad) I think even he would agree that his Doom Patrol is quite a good read (it is superhero stuff but it's a Vertigo take...just like his Animal Man).
Doom Patrol in my opinion is the greatest thing Morrison has ever written and will ever write. However, I didn't put that down as a recommendation to a DC newbie coming over from Marvel because it's not very "Marvel" if that makes sense.
But, I also didn't want to put together a list of omnibus books without including at least one Morrison, so I went with Animal Man.
Really there's so much good stuff DC has collected and so many seminal series (Dark Knight, Sandman, Watchmen, etc.) that it's hard to pick one.
We've all probably overloaded the original poster at this point. Either that, or crushed his wallet.

I got an email from Amazon and it looks like Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol. 3 has been pushed to March 29, 2016.

Was it supposed to be out later this year? I had thought it was early '16 already for some reason.
Vol.2 hits next week

It was suppose to be 02/02/16, according to Amazon anyway. I also got an email a while ago about volume two being pushed until 13/08/15 but that might be just for the UK.

I just noticed that one of my Absolute Sandman slipcase is taller than other volumes. In fact taller than all other Absolutes..

I just checked mine: Vol 2 is somewhat taller, Vol 4 somewhat smaller than the others. Right?
