I dunno. The Showcase volume I had sold for a decent margin above cover on eBay (I have the complete series in issues). A deluxe hardcover series, no. But, a 250-300 page series of trades, maybe.
Marvel is releasing some old, odd but wonderful choices in color trades. So, Warlord shouldn't be a stretch, as far as content goes.
It's possible. I assumed when you said "deluxe" you were referring to OHCs, which I don't see happening. If you're talking about the tpbs like Hellblazer or Grell's GA, then that could maybe happen.

Need some help everyone. BTW, this is my first post on the DC side. Woohoo!
I've been strictly Marvel since I was a kid, but lately have been eyeing the GA and SA omnibuses that DC has put out, along with some of the Archives.
Turns out my local library had the Justice League omnibus (I was surprised) and I got it last night. That thing is a beast!
Can someone either post a pic or link to, that compares the JL omnibus with the Flash SA omnibus, and the two GL Silver Age omnibuses?
I want to see if they're all as big as the JL, or how they compare.
Also, since I haven't really paid too much attention before, is there any inside scoop on if we'll see a Flash SA vol 2 anytime soon? The TV show is doing well, perhaps that will force the issue?
I've been hesitant to dip my toes into the DC waters (mostly from a pocketbook perspective!) but I'm eyeing all the above books plus the GA Superman omni and the upcoming GA Batman and World's Finest omnis as well.
Can anyone also comment about the builds of these specific books? The JL book seems great, from the library copy I currently am borrowing. I saw some comments on Amazon about the GL omnibus(both?) having issues, but I'd like some of your takes on this. I plan on reading these books, not keeping them on the shelf.
Thanks again!

can't wait for this (well, I can't wait for this for like 2 yars now). Shame that it won't be a deluxe straight away. Hopefully we gonna get an ohc of this (and please don't do an Earth-2 omni, I really don't want JMS's Superman).

The Joker: Endgame hardcover doesn't have the 'traditional' New 52 black and blue spine, but black with a picture of The Joker.
Can someone tell me when this change happened with the New 52 hardcovers?

The new trade dress started with the DCYou/Post-Convergence stuff. Though it's been a bit random. For example, I understand why Grayson, Batgirl, and Gotham Academy got the new trade dress (even if they came out before Convergence). But then Batman & Robin vol 6, which is continuing a years long storyline has new trade dress. But then Red Hood vol 6 has the standard New 52 trade dress. Not sure the criteria at this point for going to the new trade dress.

Yeah batman vol 7 has the same. Can you tell us what issues are in the joker endgame?

I'm too afraid to open the plastic on my Morrison Absolute Batman books. What has happened to me? :(

Did anyone else happen to pick up Free Country: A Tale of The Child's Crusade? It's a standard HC, but I could have sworn that it was originally solicited as an OHC/Deluxe edition...?

You guys are probably right about the deluxe or omnibus treatment. But maybe a series of trades. I wasn't aware there was a Showcase volume---I may need to hunt that down.

SA Flash Omnibus has an almost identical build quality as SA Justice League, so if you'r happy with the copy of Justice League your reading you'll be happy with Flash.
GA Superman is one of the best binding jobs DC has ever done on an omnibus.
The SA Green Lantern omnis were some of the first omnis DC ever put out and so they have a glued binding. But they are smaller than the Justice League omni and with the SA comics white bordered style the gutter loss might not be too bad. I have a copy sat my shelf still in its shrink wrap. If no one else steps up the plate to provide pictures I'll unwrap it after work and get some posted for you.

realized the other day that this is coming out and then was surprised it's not a deluxe, could have sworn as well it supposed to be. Shame.

Not sure about a SA volume 2, but there is a new OHC coming out that collects the current run. It's going to be a pretty thick book.
