Tons of great releases coming!
If anything, I'm disappointed about the Dark Knight III hardcover (apparently) being standard-sized, and only the covers book being deluxe.
Would've been cool to have all of Miller's DKR stuff in deluxe versions.
Blech!!! I don't like the Knightfall spine at all!
That sucker will look out of place next to my Golden Age Bat and Sups Omni's.
How is the paper quality? How many omnibus's will there probably be? 2 or 3?
Seems solid. It's matte, not too thin.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see an omnibus of Miller's work at some point.

Three, I think. Knightfall (the contents of the first TPB + the prelude issues), Knightquest (Knightquest TPB + The Search) and KnightsEnd (the third TPB and, maybe, Troika)

There's a new forward and a new afterword.
No table of contents
Only a few extras, which is a shame. Wish there was someone like Jeph York working at DC who cared enough to track down the different house ads, trading cards, etc.
Why are Tim's sleeves red.
That's going to drive me crazy forever.
What does the Knightfall book look like sans dust jacket? Does it remedy the spine at all if you were to display without it?

Going by this video, it looks like the spine has the same art, just without the text.

I feel like collecting Prodigal is the logical conclusion to the "Knights" saga. It's Dick being Batman like he should've been asked at the start of the whole situation.

Didn't anyone ever teach him to turn the pages from the top, not the bottom??? ;)
Looks great, thanks for posting!

Turning pages from the top...please tell me.more.
I picked up the Knightfall omnibus today. Man the dustjacket spine is UGLY. The dustjacket art is wrap-around and it just looks really bad, especially on the spine. Doesn't fit the Knightfall aesthetic at all.
Agreed. The Joker's pose is particularly embarrassing.
In general I like Jim Aparo but not Knightfall Jim Aparo. Does that make sense??
I agree in a way, Aparo was at his prime doing Brave & The Bold in the 70's but his work in the 90's just seemed stiff if you're comparing with the guys over at Image comics at the time.

They added Prodigal in the 2012 trades which was good, I'm hoping that this time they will also include the 4 part "Troika" story that comes just after Prodigal which introduces the new Burton-style Batsuit and deals with Bruce returning fully as Batman

I'm the opposite, I grew up with 90's issues and TPB's so to me 90's Aparo is my default preferred version. I loved and still love his art from this era

I remember that "return." Was super silly. When he comes back to the cave everyone is shocked about how scary his suit is...then they have the splash page and it's like WTF is so scary about that??? An issue or so later either Tim or Dick asked about where he'd been and he said he'd tell them and DC promised a story but I don't think it was ever revealed.
