Those are major changes. I think that takes out Nekron's origin from Tales or something.
I don't think Tales of the Corps featured Nekron at all. The mini had backstory for other characters, but based on what I recall of those stories, I don't consider their removal a major change. This is the TofC mini I'm thinking of: https://www.comixology.eu/Blackest-Night-Tales-of-the-Corps/comics-series/3032?ref=c2VhcmNoL2luZGV4L2Rlc2t0b3Avc2xpZGVyTGlzdC9zZXJpZXNTbGlkZXI.

I compared it side by side with Volume 1 and it seems to be slightly larger then Volume 1, but just barely!

Don't worry fellows, according to another lucky early reciever of the book I asked on The Omnibus Collector's Facebook group, those issues are in there and the back of the book is a total liar. Here's a pic of the first inner page.

Thanks for the pictures! How's the binding?
Now... wouldn't it have been awesome if the spine of Vol. 2 were a zombie hand with a black ring instead of the same one from Vol. 1? And then, Vol. 3 could have had Sinestro's hand with the ring in the spine...
Got the Batman Gothic Deluxe and it's pretty darn nice. Cover's rather lame (the old tpbs have better covers, using the cover from LOTDK #6 (first issue of Gothic arc)).
One missed opportunity: Not including Grant's first Batman story "The Stalking" as an extra (it's from Batman UK Annual 1986, which I own).
Is there anything besides the size that makes it a worthwhile upgrade over the trade? If not I'll probably move it to the bottom of my to-buy list.

Man, your pictures are amazing, as always. One day I'll pay you just to have my collection photographed.
I guess I'll be selling my Absolute Blackest Night...

Many thanks again! :) I actually recommend keeping the Absolutes... the Omni's should be there just to fill in the gaps but for the major story arcs.. keep the Absolutes.

That new Keef song is great! And definitely keep the absolutes!

I was hoping DC would use a sturdier material for the spine on this new volume, but it appears not. Volume 1 was the 1st omnibus I had that the spine started to crease from the strain of the pages, and from the pics this one looks like it will have the same issues. Is this a design flaw or something. Do the JSA's suffer from the same problem? I figure it's not just me, because I'm always gentle, and no of my other omniscient have suffered from this.

Are those issues reprinted in their entirety or just the Johns' material? He did two "deleted scenes" in Untold Tales, two stories in Tales of the Corps #1 and two in #2. He did none for #3, but it had a Blackest Night #0 Director's Cut, although I don't know if there's anything new there.
I wonder if it's all thrown in the back or put in a chronological order. Tales of the Corps should at least go before Blackest Night. And of course Green Lantern #43-52 should be mixed with Blackest Night main story.

So where would everyone say the John's GL run peaks? I've had Vol. 2 on pre-order for ages, and now comes the eleventh hour second guessing. Worth getting Vol. 2?
