But that's the life of an Omnibus collector!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://collectededitions.blogspot.ie/2015/08/suicide-squad-vol-2-elseworlds-omnibus.html
YES!!!!!!!!!!!
I was holding off on buying Johns' Aquaman in the hopes that there would be an omnibus! And a Gotham Central Omnibus too?!?! WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*edit*
Ah crud, that's what I get for speed reading through that. The Aquaman isn't an omnibus, they're OHC Deluxes. Dang. But you just know at some point an omni will come out.
!!!!
Amazing now for the strategic game of how I offload ny hardcovers to maximize return before people hear of the upcoming omnibus!
Right?! LOL!
-
Gotham Central, yes!
Deluxe Kingdom Come, yes!
That Elseworlds thing looks interesting too. Hope it gives Marvel the idea to do a What If omnibus
-
I let out a pretty audible yelp on the bus home when I saw the GC Omni (not using it's full name in case I jinx it!!). That Geoff Johns/Aquaman HC looks good too. Hopefully it'll be a full Omni, but I'd be okay with two Deluxe Editions as well; #0 - 13 in Vol 1, the remainder of his run and the JL issues in Vol 2. I'll give the Kingdom Come Deluxe a miss; I already have the intial, regular sized HC, as well as the absolute, so that's probably enough :D

Never read Gotham central. As a batman fan and a cop drama lover think ill enjoy it? Heard a lot of praise about it. Definitely getting the flash ohc and aquaman ohc hope its an omnibus tho.

Enjoy it?! You will love it to death, it's one of the best stories from Bat-verse.
Now, I have all HC's, not sure should I upgrade it when time comes or just leave it as it is.
-
Nice to see GC get an omnibus. I already have the HCs and I'm not really interested in upgrading. I am, however a Kingdom Come mark, so the deluxe will be my forth version of the book lol. I have a problem.
-
YES!!!! I knew there was a reason I held off getting Gotham Central.
-
Weird.. Why does it say in the title "Aquaman Omnibus by Geoff Johns" then it says deluxe editions..??? Lol

The Spring 2016 catalogue is online now: http://edelweiss.abovethetreeline.com/CatalogOverview.aspx?source=catalog&catalogID=3717462&savecook=1%2c1&time=1438901186794&startIndex=0&rows=100&sord=5&savecook=1. It has more details on price, format, release dates, and content in some cases.

Flash and Aquaman deluxe editions...yes please

I have all 100 issues of the original Azrael run and it was very strong for the first half. The back 1/2 is spotty in places but I always enjoyed the Jean Paul Valley Azrael and feel he's a character that was tossed aside in the nu52 reboot.
I'd like to hold out for an Azrael Omni but feel if these TPBs aren't supported then an Omni is out of the question. Ah, decisions!!!

I was hoping for a Lemire Animal Man omnibus.

Lots of interesting stuff, and yay for more oversized and omnis (especially Gotham Central!) Bummed that both Ostrander's Spectre and Martian Manhunter look like they will remain incompletely collected, but at least Suicide Squad has a second and third TPB solicited!
Further observations I had, looking at contents:
The contents of Batman: Europa are interesting: "Collects Batman: Europa #1-4 of the 4-issue miniseries." This never came out, right? Surprised it's not getting a big push, given the creatives involved and all.
Batman Adventures Vol 4 is great news, but it is solicited to contain #28-35. Hoping that gets revised to include the holiday special, annual 2, and issue 36 (the end of the series.) And hopefully they will do Batman & Robin Adventures as well.
The contents of Legacy/Contagion don't contain any of Contagion, only Legacy, but at least includes the Bane one-shot. Not sure why they'd name it "Legacy/Contagion" if it only includes Legacy, plus with a $35 price tag, surely they will actually add Contagion (and hopefully Bane of the Demon 1-4 since it is integral to Legacy):
"Batman: The Shadow of the Bat #53-54, Batman #533-534, Detective Comics #700-702, Catwoman #36, Robin #32-33, and Batman: Bane."
The contents of Road to No Man's Land Vol 2 also contain what have to be errors: "Batman #560-562, Detective Comics #727-730, Batman: The Shadow of the Bat #80-82, The Batman Chronicles #15-16, Azrael: Agent of the Bat #47-49."
Tec 730 and Batman Chronicles 16 are both in the first NML trade and aren't part of Road to No Man's Land. And if I recall, those Azrael issues should probably be in the first Road to No Man's Land trade (or at least some of them.)
The Green Lantern Vol 3 omni make no sense at all, not even completing the pre-Flashpoint run but still having 1-20 of the New 52 run, among other things.
And it looks like Justice League 3000 #14-15 are being orphaned, since they aren't in the second Justice League 3000 TPB and the Justice League 3001 TPB starts with #1 of that title.
The Dixon Nightwing volumes get smaller and smaller: volume 1 had 12 issues; Volume 2 had 10 issues plus an annual; Volume 3 will have 9 issues; Volume 4 will have 8. But at least they're still going.
Robin Vol 2 will be a horrible read if it's left as-is: Robin #6-10. Robin 6 is part of a storyline that runs through Showcase '94 5-6, so those should be included. Robin 7-9 are all mired in Knightquest/Knightsend and will be terrible on their own, and Robin 10 is a Zero Hour tie-in (though a great one!)
I understand it's early in the process, but it is super frustrating how we can't trust solicitations. It would be one thing if they were later corrected, but it seems more often than not, we don't know what's in the books until they're in someone's hands. I love that they are doing a better job of digging into the back catalog (especially 90s Batman and related works), just wish we knew for sure what was coming.

I would be flabergasted if they ever did an Azrael omnibus, seeing as it's not written by Johns or Morrison and has no major media tie-in or cult status (Gotham Central has the Gotham TV show, however tenuous a tie that is now, and the fact that it is very widely regarded as a stone classic). Azrael is great up through Cataclysm, I agree, but given how they've only just started to even do Batman omnis, the chances that they'd put out an omni of a relatively minor side character seem pretty remote. They haven't even done oversized collections of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing (as discussed here), or more well regarded runs like JLI. It's TPB or nothing for Azrael I'd say.
