Bingo! I’m sure Trump’s lemmings cheered when that happened, saying, “Yeah! Talk about putting that old bat in her place! Go Trump! MAGA!”
America First -- even if it means pushing people out of the way, taking children from their mothers, and neglecting the elderly and others in need of help.

One day, hopefully soon, Trump will learn that his base did not get him elected.
And the GOP will learn that appealing to his base will get them the primary, but lose then the general.

The thing is, Trumpanzees along with the craven and cowardly Republicans in Congress are perfectly fine with that.

Here's the thing. They ran Romney and McCain because of that very mindset. Then they were vilified anyways. So they just went yolo with Trump. And they won. The Dems did that with Gore, Kerry, and Clinton, they lost. They went with the guy that got their base hot, they won. I'm not so sure that's true.

Trump did not win. He lost by 3,000,000 votes. It took GOP voter supression, Comey and the Russians to install him. He is the most unpopular first term President in recent History.
It wasn't his base, it was non-thinking independents who made up the 40,000 extra votes that got him into office.

Since it needs to be posted again.
In 2016, voters actually saw Trump as being closer to the center of the electorate than Clinton and as the most moderate Republican candidate since 1972. https://53eig.ht/2EbSY3P
Voters *now* see Trump as being quite conservative—and maybe that's what they should have expected all along—but 2016 was actually a pretty good data point for the median voter theorem! If Trump had run on the Paul Ryan economic platform, not clear he would have won.
Exactly! They throw a ton of crap against the wall and some of it always sticks with the low information American public. They don't rely on any single silver bullet to win Elections, but rather it is a death by a thousand cuts that enable them to win. Like you said - Comey, voter suppression, Electoral College imbalance, Russian interference, Green Party, voter apathy, 'both Parties are the same', repeating lies until they are 'facts', gerrymandering congressional seats, hyperbolization of non-issues, racism, misogyny, conjecture, slippery slope arguments, xenophobia, ageism, etc. They will use whatever tricks they can pull out because they know the typical American is stupid enough to fall for it! Why use a silver bullet when you can use a clip full of them.

If the Electoral College is still actually deciding Presidential elections in The United States Of America, this is still a false statement.
In addition, I didn't see anyone knocking that reality when it was HRC who was going to have 307 Electoral College votes. Folks were talking about how Trump should just accept the defeat if he lost in the Electoral College.

The fact Trump won was as much a surprise to him as everyone else. Hell, before people even went to the polls, he was already pissing and moaning to his lemmings that Hillary was going to cheat her way to victory, despite all the nonsense with shit like gerrymandering, skullduggery by the Ivans and Comey’s eleventh hour surprise.

Going into this week and the elections in the fall, I notice that the details of Trump's fix for cyber security still hasn't really materialized.
Not much of a shock.

Waiting for the "LIBERAL" Media to DEMAND Michelle Wolf to be #civility again as they defend Shuckleberry slanders and her Lie-shadow.

At least some people believe he would have preferred a close loss to a win.
I can see why many felt he couldn’t win. Forgetting the hyperbole (I don’t think he’s a nazi or anywhere near)...he comes over a deeply unpleasant person, and had no record to suggest he’d make a good president.
I wonder if deep down Hilary felt that way: that she couldn’t lose? And that made her play too “safe”...she seemed fairly passive in head to head debates?
And sadly she was (I think) heavily handicapped by the past philandering of her husband...it meant she couldn’t easily express outrage at the Donald’s way with women.

How do you figure? She's not the one that philandered, and she wasn't the one who was at the time on trial for raping an underage girl.

Most people think Bill Clinton has had a number of affairs, and treated a string of young women disgracefully in other ways. It’s just about unreasonable to believe anything else...he clearly treated Monica Lewinsky appallingly, for example.
Hilary by staying in the marriage accepted all that...at one level she accepted that type of behaviour. By so doing, she made it more difficult to condemn similar behaviour in others.
