Nergal is a sun god. I'm betting he'll join #teamFighttheDarkness.
-
Woden is a Sky God they didn't invite him either.
Seems like most of the Gods showed up in a mere 2 months that is interesting.

If you resort to comparative mythology you can find ways to categorise nearly all deities as sky gods. I wouldn't put too much faith in such categories.

Honestly Baal and Baphomet confuse me in that they are supposedly Alphas and yet so Beta.
Baal: Inanna cheats on him and he reacts....Persesphone does it and while he might not know about the Baph one....I guess he doesn't care about the Sakhmet.
Baph: Cheats and Morg is giving it to him and he just takes it.
One of them has to snap I suppose eventually

A lot of the personality stuff comes down to whether they have been selected or not. It is possible the entire setup of the pantheon was an attempt to marginalise and subvert their effect on the world, which is backfiring due to the growing influence of popular and youth culture.

So who did Ananke give the information to?
I have heard Pink Woden and Baal as the top people.
-
So what did we learn from this months 1 shot?!
-
1. Lucifer seems to be the most consistent Recurred god.
2. Baal seems to recur a lot too, and has earned a lot of admiration from Ananke.
3. Gods lose their minds the longer they live.

Not sure if that last one is true. Lucifer was certainly unhinged, but he was living in very uncertain times, apparently haunted by the death of his lover (because he was probably already dead), desperately trying to revive Rome's claim as capital of the empire when that cause was already a lost one. I can't quite imagine Ananke's plans having any power to revive the Western Roman Empire, she would probably have skulked away if she didn't have a motive to keep this all secret.
Genseric seemed unimpressed with her, and his army would have walked in unopposed if not for Lucifer, which is pretty much what happened in history because Petronius Maximus had already run away.
I like how even the roof tiles of Jupiter's temple were not actually the result of the looting. That very act was why Vandal is not synonymous with wisdom, and in this story vandal is a misnomer. Oh the irony.
My theory that Ananke has misjudged the growing power of popular culture is still intact. In this story the artists were clearly under appreciated, much to Lucifer's chagrin.
P.S. Perhaps the biggest crime that Lucifer enacted against Ananke was suggesting that she doesn't get to choose which God the pantheon members are. Even if only half true this would be reason to erase Lucifer. That would also call into question points 1 and 2 because Ananke may be manipulating the pantheons with her choices.

What are you referring to? What information?

The letter she sent in #28.

Ah, I see, I wouldn't have described that as information. I believe it is a hint at another player we may not be aware of yet. Referring to the pantheon as 'them' suggests someone else. Of course it isn't defininitive, as it could just be one of the pantheon, but it is unlikely to but Baal because we already know she advised him about the Great Darkness. Whoever it is knows about the pantheon being viewed as a sacrifice so if that person was a member of the pantheon it would be quite momentous.

455 AD Pantheon:
Mithras, Morai, Minerva, Inanna, Lucifer, Baal of Cathage. Six others, but not named.
